1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Pours crisp golden with average white head. Far malty and grassy aroma. Almondy taste. medium sweetness, dissapointedly not bitter at all and almost flat in flavour. Tastes like an average lager. Light body, oily feel, soft carbonation, sweet finish. This is how an IPA should NOT taste. Didn’t like it.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Fine head, lasting. Golden amber. Very light nose with only a vague hops character. Medium body and length. Tastes like a good pilsner. Very bad for rise and quite disapoiting

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 3, 2012 Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Halden, Norway. Golden colour with a small white head. Week malty nose. Light malty and medium hoppy flavour. Typical for a standard british IPA, not as massive as the american style. Good for hot summer days.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled. Clear golden colour, thin head. Sweet toffy and buttery, almost doughy malt aroma with grassy and slightly herbal hops. Sweet, sugary taste, medium bitter/grassy finish with a hint of boozer. Medium body, oily slippery texture. This no IPA.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a golden "lager-like" body with a white head. The taste is sweet and not nearly as hoppy as you would expect from an IPA. Sugary malt flavour. I detect caramel notes, herbs and some grass. But since I expected a proper IPA, I was not impressed. Big disappointment.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.5l bottle. This one pours a clear light bronze body with a medium but quickly fading light bubbly white head. Aroma is quite organic and really mild. Some thin notes of weak caramel and perhaps some watery-grass-notes? But not much to write home bought. Average to lively carbonation, medium-bodied and it has a mild and light oily mouthfeel. Flavors are a tad malty and sweet, not to much reminding me of an IPA. Some nice caramel and fruity notes near the finish. Quite low on the bitterness and definitely not much for the style, but it’s light drinkable and there are no off-flavors. Actually quite refreshing.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2012 There is nothing in the aroma that reminds me of an IPA: the nose is dominated by lager-like sour malty notes, along with band-aid and alcohol. Luckily there are also some mildly pleasant vague fruity stuff. I’m all for the hedonic approach to beer rating, but it’s hard not to judge this one too strict: in my book this is not even close to how the aroma of an IPA should be. The body is clear, medium golden, with a small off-white head that consists of rapidly diminishing big bubbles. When a bubble breaks nothing is left, not even a film. Very strange. The bubbles manage to create some lacing before they cease to exist. The taste is as boring and un-IPA-like as the aroma: light sweet and light bitter, with a medium bitter, sour and very metallic finish. The flavours are mostly metal, but deep down in the tin can I also get some nice-ish fruity notes. Too soft carbonation for such a light body, and a thin (to oily) texture doesn’t help either. A boring beer and an exceptionally boring IPA, and on top of it all it’s haunted by a massive metallic feel.
