3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours slightly cloudy orangish copper with no head. Aroma is thin sweet caramel malt and earthy piney hops. Taste is huge thick syrupy sweet caramel malt with big bitter hops. Pine, citrus, and earthy hop notes on the finish. Lacking the balance, TOO BOOZY, and nuance of best-in-class DIPAs, but there is a lot to like here.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice aroma of citrus and apricot hoppy zest. Slightly cloudy golden color. Really nice crisp and sweet beginning that soon rolls over into a bitter grapefruit ending. The bitter ending really gives it a dry and grapefruit rind finale. Nicely done and cloaks the 8.7% well.

Bottle from Brewtopia. Golden orange with chill haze lasting head and lotsa lace. Grapefruity spicy aroma. Mild fruity sweetness with toast and nuts and medium assertive very dry orange rind bitterness and super clean finish. Medium body and medium carbo. Very good.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft@ The Grill next Door for $7.00. As the bartender set down the tulip I could smell floral hops and pine before I raised the glass to my face. Some candy sugar there as well. The flavor is dead on the aroma with a pronouced pine needle in the finish. Bready malt shows hints of toffee to help balance the hops. Bitterness is not over whelming, subtle pine. Really easy drinking for an ABV over 8.5. Damn, this is highly drinkable! Well crafted imperial that is real desriable on draft.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour is hazed copper with a good bit of white head and some large bubbles leaving a thick lace. Nose is heavy citrus, light oxidation, and some stale biscuit like malt. Taste has some biscuity malt up front, sweet caramel and sweet malts, citrusy hops and a hint of resin. Thicker syrupy body with strong carbonation and a grainy finish. A bit sweet and hops may be fading, 2 months old I believe.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rcvd in trade.
The appearance has a somewhat of a hazy dark brown colored body with a one fingered white foamy head that leaves some adequate clingy lacing that seems to be going all over the place.
The smell has resinous hops with a nice citrusy aspect to it and also some nice spicy connotations to it as well.
The taste has a bittersweet hoppy to sweet flavoring and combined all of the way through in the flavoring to leave a decent resinous aftertaste with a slight dry spicy finish.
The palate sits about a medium on the body, not as sessionable as I had hoped for but did notice the 8.7% on the bottle so I guess I should have noticed that. Carbonation is good for the DIPA style and good for me.
Overall, I would definitely take this one again if ever offered or have the opportunity to spend some more time back in Maine. To anyone visiting Maine, please don’t forget about Rising Tide often under-shadowed by Maine Beer Company.
