COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Daymark is a classic, crisp American pale ale brewed with spicy Columbus and Centennial hops. The addition of locally grown rye deepens the flavor and dry hopping yields a bright floral aroma.

[bottle] Aroma is a nice blend of citrusy caramel malt with pine hops and butterscotchy diacetyl. Hazy coppper under a lacy, lasting off-white blanket. Citrusy caramel flavour that has some bitter pine and an almost household cleaner character. Subdued butterscotch accents come in late, accompanied by strawberry and faint apricot. Medium body, medium carbonation, lasting bitterness that is not quite astringent.

Sampled at the 2012 American Craft Beer Festival. A good combination of rya and hops in this beer. Definitely worth trying.

On tap at the Novare Res Bier Café in Portland, ME. Pours a hazed, dull gold colored body with a finger-width, dense and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is really nice with rye spiced florals and citruses as well as some light pines. Crisp and bready, grainy malts allowing the fruits to come out nicely. Flavor is solid as well. Bready pale malts up front with some graininess and lots of floral citrus hops. A nice rye spice comes along with a light pine before this finishes clean, smooth, and dry with a moderate bitterness and lots of floral fruits. Lengthy aftertaste following a very smooth and soft, medium body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a really nice pale ale. Lots of floral hops with some pines and plenty of citruses. The rye spice works nicely alongside the hops and everything is balanced with a bready pale malt backing. Very enjoyable.
