COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Spinnaker is the perfect companion to a lazy summer day. With a nod to the traditional hazy wheat beers of Germany, our hefeweizen balances sweet yeast esters and spicy phenolics with a refreshing bready body.

Bottle from Meditrina. Had this so many times I canít believe I never rated it. Very pale cloudy straw gold with fluffy noisy white head and lace. Clove pineapple bubble gum banana aroma. Medium pineapple fruity sweetness with clean clovey bitterness. Very light body with lively carbo. Excellent. I could easily drink this in one gulp.

Aroma is lacking. The typical banana clove is a bit overpowered by a little skunky notes. Flavor is a bit watery. Ekh.

Pours clear yellow with a massive frothy white head. Is this actually a Kristallweizen? Only became slightly hazy when I belatedly poured in the yeast slug. Tangy wheat aroma reminds me of a Berliner but without the acids and with way more of a yeast presence. Flavor is mostly more of the same only a little duller. Refreshing soft mouthfeel. Good late summer wheat.

Bottle from Harvest Market Pours a hazy deep straw color with a decent sized big bubbled white head that dissipates quickly like diet fountain soda. Aromas of lemon, wheat, and a bit of yeasty funk. Not much appetizing about the nose IMHO. The flavor is a little sweet a bit spicy and tart with hints of lemon and yeasty funk. Medium to light body with a moderate level of carbonation and a tart almost piercing mouthfeel. I didnít enjoy this one very much.

Pours a hazy pale yellow golden color with a finger of white fizz. Pretty subdued for a hefe, light yeast qualities add some underlying spice, some , light round soft wheat notes hold my attention more than the yeast does. Traces of clay and stale grass. Clean finish but looking for more yeast character in a hefeweizen.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance has a hazy golden yellow body with some light carbonation is seen at the bottom rising but fades into the body. Thereís a nice foamy white one finger head tries to stick around. The smell has the wheat/yeasty, estery/banana-ness with lots of clove coming through in a spicy sort of way. The taste is sweet yet spicy yet somewhat wheaty, light lemon of sorts following all the way through and leaving a nice wheaty aftertaste and finish. On the palate, it was about a light to medium and somewhat sessionable. Carbonation seems spot on and just the way I like it as well. Overall, wow, very quickly Iím starting to like hefes, seems like I just needed to try the right ones as I would come back to this again if able.

650ml bottle. Wasnít crazy about this hefe. Too much spice and herb flavour overpowered the banana and wheat malt. Looked nice, body was average. Not my favourite from Rising Tide, but I remain impressed with them overall.

My Bottom Line :
Banana wheat bread is met by hints of vanilla and angel cake in this otherwise mineral and highly engaging Weissbier.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A sheet of foam establishes itself atop the cloudy blond.
-There is a splash of cloves and citrus in the middle.
-The body may be a tad plumper than your average Bavarian Weissbier.
-I have just read the terms íthiní and ícaramelí in previous reviews... and I have to admit I really donít see how these people could have tasted the same in the bomber I had.

Bottle.

Slightly hazy minimal white foam and golden. Pepper. Citrus tang. Phenols clove. Tropical fruit banana. Thin feel.
