3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance has a hazy golden yellow body with some light carbonation is seen at the bottom rising but fades into the body. There’s a nice foamy white one finger head tries to stick around.
The smell has the wheat/yeasty, estery/banana-ness with lots of clove coming through in a spicy sort of way.
The taste is sweet yet spicy yet somewhat wheaty, light lemon of sorts following all the way through and leaving a nice wheaty aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, it was about a light to medium and somewhat sessionable. Carbonation seems spot on and just the way I like it as well.
Overall, wow, very quickly I’m starting to like hefes, seems like I just needed to try the right ones as I would come back to this again if able.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
650ml bottle. Wasn’t crazy about this hefe. Too much spice and herb flavour overpowered the banana and wheat malt. Looked nice, body was average. Not my favourite from Rising Tide, but I remain impressed with them overall.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
My Bottom Line :
Banana wheat bread is met by hints of vanilla and angel cake in this otherwise mineral and highly engaging Weissbier.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A sheet of foam establishes itself atop the cloudy blond.
-There is a splash of cloves and citrus in the middle.
-The body may be a tad plumper than your average Bavarian Weissbier.
-I have just read the terms ’thin’ and ’caramel’ in previous reviews... and I have to admit I really don’t see how these people could have tasted the same in the bomber I had.

Bottle I shared at the campsite at BCTC. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Sweet musk, wheat. Sweet banana notes, wheat and toast. Soft musk into the finish.

Very tasty wheat with hints of banana and apricot. Pours a cloudy hue like pure, unfiltered apple juice.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bottle. Poured into a weizen. Pours a nice hazy amber/orange with a lackluster white head. Lots of yeast sediment floating about. Lots of clove and banana on the nose. Classic. Flavor follows the nose to a tee. Medium bodied with active carbonation. Fairly low abv and quite refreshing on a summer day.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours hazy gold into a Sam glass. White soapy head recedes leaving no lacing. Clove and banana aromas. Soft with sweet clove and wheat upfront turning to mild banana in the medium length finish.
