500ml bottle. Clear dark brown colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, off-white head. Slightly spicy dark and caramel malty aroma. Taste is slightly dry dark malty with subtle sweetness, a cautious touch of roast. Nice.

Bottle by 07.02.13, my 3900th rating entered into RB and 800th from Bavaria. Sweet caramel and berry nose, faint roast and chocolate, nutty. Dark, dark ruby body with a noisy tan head. Taste is very sweet and fruity, jammy, really, with berry and light tartness that doesn’t devolve into sourness. Does have some dusty hops, even above the nuttiness. Malty, slick light body. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Red-brown with red tinges and a small head. Malty and fruity aroma with notes of raisins and caramel. Fruity, grainy and malty taste with notes of raisins, caramel and nuts.

Bottle @ Uncle Chris’ house in Fürth. Clear, brown appearance with a bubbly, brown head. Burnt, slightly charred, nutty, light chocolate aroma. Graham cracker, chewy dark toasty malty, nutty, mild caramel, chocolate flavor. Fairly sweet yet pretty well balanced. Pretty tasty beer.

It’s mahogany red with a huge, creamy head, and the aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, nuts, toast and hints of licorice. The flavor has a light sweetness and the same notes as the aroma. The finish is slightly dry and bitter. A really lovely dunkel.

Bottle, tasting, thanks beerandbeyond. Pours dark-brown and quite opaque, foram on the rim. Candy, caramel nose, tastes of mild bitterness and roasting, smooth and round, soft carbonation, sweet aftertaste with a little roasting.

Clear medium to dark amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, bread, roasted, caramel, nutty, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, nutty, bread, dark malt, dry.
