inbirraveritas (1316) - Budapest, - JAN 22, 2013
Bottled. Pours a clear/opalescent amber body with a creamy medium sized off-white head on its top, which leaves a thin film behind. Spicy-malty nose. Aroma contains distinct toast, mild caramel and dough underpainted by grassy hops. Sharp and somewhat thin mouthfeel. Short to medium long, sweetbitter finish escorted by bread-crust and herbs. Overall not bad, but there are some better brews in this style...

Jonb5 (421) - Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 7, 2014
Half litre flip top, poured into an oversized Tripel Karmeliet tulip. A: Amber, thick looking but not hazy, initial large thick head morphed into to a layer of film, lots of lacing clung to the side of the glass. S: Hay, straw, grassy, Hallertau hop? T: Started with some sugar beet, then some grain, finished with some biscuit, crispy rye bread and charcoal. M: Smooth, medium body, minimal carbonation. O: Well made example of a Kellerbier which is a very broad style.

Gravity pour at the keller. This is a very aromatic lagerbier: nutty and earthy, almost mushrooms. Taste is cereal and a distinctive malt (nutty) sweetness, although it remains relatively dry. Palate is mellow and carbonation is low. Very good distinctive lagerbier.
