0,5 l swingtop bottle from P&M Getränke, best before 11/8/2015. Clear, copper with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, tan to white head. Pleasant and quite strong aroma of smoked ham, ash and burnt wood with a grassy note and hints of honey as well. Sweetish and medium smoky taste of smoked ham, grass, honey and a bit of ash, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a bit metallic and gently smoky finish. Thin to medium body, smooth mouthfeel, average carbonation. Solid Rauchbier that goes down very easily. It doesn’t reach the heights of Schlenkerla or even Spezial, but it is nevertheless a nice brew that deserves praise (if you forget about the awful bottle label).

Nice aroma of smoked meat. Not really impressive malty taste, with a very short smoky-watery aftertaste. Drinkable, okay.

Jambon poivré et fumé avec une bonne touche de houblons terreux. Pas aussi facile à boire que certaines rauchbier.

A fine Rauch! Intense smoke aroma. The color is more bock-like than black(Schlenkerla for example). The taste is smokey ham, delicate caramel and nice bitterness at the end. Although it was like half a year before expiration date beer almost gushed out of bottle. Light bodied, medium drinkablility. No match for Schlenkerla but still quite good.

Nice smoky/wood taste, with decent malt body. Good drinkability, and low content means I can drink a lot more of it.

Gravity pour at the keller. Aroma is ham, smoke, herbs and coniferous. Very aromatic. Chewy malts, pine and earthy. A little heavier than the lagerbier. Very good.

Bottle. Nice amber brown color, small white head. Peaty nose. Sweet, light sour and light bitter taste. Flat carbonation, but not unfitting. Aftertaste is more sweet malt with a enjoyable smoke note, which doesn´t stay too long. Very good drinkable, I would rather call it a light Rauchbier.

Bottle @ home. Backlog. Clear amber to red color with a white frothy head and some lacing. Nose is sweet malty and unpleasantly metallic and meaty. Has notes of peat, toast, tobacco, grass and. Sweet & fat maltiness in flavor. Has peat, smoke, wood and bread. Dry finish with some sweet caramel. Earthy brief bitterness. There’s also some cardboard.
