Our interpretation of a Belgian style Golden Ale is delightfully approachable and utterly devious. Brewed with the finest Belgian 2-row malt and a blend of traditional and new-world hops, it has extraordinary fruity and spicy aromas with mouth filling flavors of sweet malt and earthy hops.

The lingering finish is dry and slightly bitter but very, very smooth. 1.075 O.G.

Clear medium yellow orange color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity malt, pale malt, moderate yeasty, fruity yeast, belgium yeast, coriander. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, belgium yeast, fruity, spicy. Quit refreshing. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141231]

Bottle. Golden with a medium head. Slightly sweet with some spiciness in the background. You are aware of the hops but its not a hoppy beer. Interesting.

Murky gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is dry and crisp. Sweetish malts balanced by spice. Little malt cream. Dried orange underneath. A sweet and spicy dry finish. Not bad, pretty authentic tasting but I was hoping for a US twist.

On draft. It pours a very pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma is nice with some grassy, skunky weed and earthy hops. Fruity, spicy yeast is apparent as well. The flavor has nice spicy hop that seems noble, but also dank and weedy at the same time. More spicy Belgian yeast. Full bodied. A little can sugar sweetness, but it finishes nicely dry. This seems underrated to me. I enjoyed this one.

Pours a golden yellow with some haze. Aroma is little to nothing. Taste is light and sweet. With lots of fruit notes. Specifically citrus fruits mixed with a sweet malt. The 8% alcohol isnít noticeable, an easy drinking Belgian Strong that was enjoable yet not complex in flavor.

Not much aroma, great golden ale look, but just too much on the spices, no hint of sweetness, no hint of bitter, just spice. Canít recommend it.

On tap at brewery. Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Fruity Belgian yeast and apple aroma. Tastes of caramel, candy, tangerine, and apple with hints of grape and a sweet finish. Sticky yet creamy palate. Very nice.

On tap. Itís an almost clear one, golden in color, sparkling, and with a small, dense, white head. Thereís some faint spiced and alcoholic scents, itís quite fruity, with some pale malts, pine cone hints and grass. The flavor pretty much the same, but of course with some bitterness. Some sweetness too, but in general itís pretty dry. Full to medium body fullness. Long finish with fruits, bitterness and a little spiced touch. Overall, a bit saison-ish, in a tripel kind of way. Nice. 130901

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2013 On tap, Pizza Port, San Clemente. Gorgeous hazy amber. Sweet, fruity aroma. Yeasty, sweet fruity malt. Exceptionally gentle for 8%.
