3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bottle. Pours hazy copper gold with a big rocky white head that retains well and laces the glass some.
The aroma is a bit subdued - sugary fruits and some piney hops.
The flavor is sweet sugary fruits with bready malts and some grassy, spicy hops that have decent bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a bit overly sweet and sugary. It has decent bitterness, but not a lot of hop flavor.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance was clear deep gold with some floaties then creamy lasting white 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are slight malt sweetness with hints of alcohol, then citrus and tropical fruits. Taste are grapefruit, melon, tangerine, guava, orange and soft pine with good supporting malt. Palate was smooth creamy CO2 with medium body, then lasting slightly dryish balanced finish. A solid fruity IPA, just wish I knew the born date was. Seems the hops where a little old.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Anthill. Pours a medium orange to golden with minimal head. Aroma is melon and mango forward. Taste is initially a sweet to then bitter character with the fruit coming in. More mango at the very end in the finish which I very much like. Slightly dank when it warms. Overall, I’d order this one again.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma is quite spicy hence the pairing advice of Tikka Masala. This one certainly has a front loaded jolt of bitterness and carbonation that strike the palate but then it, like the Wiens fades off very quickly. And what I am left with is a reminder of bitterness and the taste of powdered cinnamon. A taste that I don’t believe that I have had in an IPA before. And that note is probably what triggered the donut and carrot cake pairing suggestions.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On draft at Slaters 50/50 in RC. It pours a deep gold color with an off white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with some grapes, berries and light caramel. The flavor is nice and fruity with some underlying spicy hops. Light caramel and grainy malt backbone. Pretty pleasant stuff.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Fresh grassy, catty hop aroma from a clear orange/copper body with a foamy white head. The grassiness follows into the taste along with pronounced pine dryness and grapefruit juiciness. Lots of hop goodness here and while it’s strong it’s also well balanced. Good caramel malt flavor to balance the bitterness, but it’s a little too sweet for my taste. There seems to be a bit of an alcohol bite, but it might be somewhat due to the spiciness of the hops. That bitterness lays down on the tongue and lasts but doesn’t build to anything overwhelming. Finishes dry, spicy and sweet. Very good IPA.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours golden amber with a slight beige head. Aroma suggests mosaic. Lots of mixed fruits. Melon? Citrus? Med body. Wow are there lots of odd fruits. Most melon I can recall. Citrus. Pineapple. Maybe guava. I’m sure there is more. There’ also a nice roasty malt backing to support all this stuff. Very light hop burn. Finishes with lots of green melon. Amazing stuff.
