3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This beer is filled with alcohol and is absolutely delicious. Malty and sweet, this beer is great on tap. I suspect that a few of these would put me on my ass, and it'd be worth it.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy dark reddish brown color. Large fluffy beige head. Rich sweet malt aroma has notes of caramel, brown sugar and dark fruit. Tart toasted malt flavor with more brown sugar and dark fruits. Chewy and full bodied. Notes of vanilla and herbal hops in the finish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark amber with a bit of head. Nose is very bready, Belgian yeast, spiced note, orange peel. Taste pretty much matches, spiced, bready, malty, some banana esters. Like a bad baba bread thing going on. It's just not very good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Really nice mouthfeel but otherwise average all around. Murky Copper pour w/ a tan head & decent lacing. The aroma is just malty & otherwise boring. The taste is clean & crisp but I would expect more from a "Belgian." It is quite soft & lovely on the palate but the lack of flavor really holds this back!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rating from 3-28-2010....Pours light to medium brown...small beige head....aroma is sugar and malt...very strong on the sugar...flavor is sugar also mixed with malt and spices....brown sugar and a prune/raisin taste...no complexity to it...yet also not offensive.....as it warms up, I get a little clove/banana action in the mouth

Bottle. Big orange peel and coriander dominating. Drinkable with a Belgian yeast note. Smooth but, semi- high carb. Pretty good but, I wouldn't search for this.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very easy drinking for an 8% beer. Much lighter than most Belgian cane beers of similar ABV. Pours a dark amber color but isn’t super exciting to look at or smell. Overall, a good fall beer.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark cloudy brown colored body with no carbonation seen rising and no head (bar pour, no harm no foul to be honest).
The smell was a sweet caramel up front with some light raisins and plums in the background.
The taste was basically the same adding a bit of cherries in it.
The palate was about a medium of sorts and had a decent amount of carbonation to it. No alcohol was felt which helped to make this fairly drinkable.
Overall, I would say this was a pretty good Belgian Dark. I would have this again.
