Bottle. Pours cloudy dark ruby. Big off white head that dissipates to a little lacing. Nose is heavy on bananas and Belgian yeast. Taste follows suit but adds some candied fruit and a nice alcohol backbone. A little clove on the finish Good soft palate. Nice winter warmer.

Washington Commons, Brooklyn tap ($6): Pours a reddish color with a white head. Aroma is candy, caramel, and a bit of spice. Taste is kind of flat and uncomplex. It is slightly sweet, slightly spicy, but really has no depth past that. This is just not that good.

Had at new hope right after the brewery tour. Not a bad beer. Havn’t ever been too excited about winter warmers and this one is prob a little better than the others I had. Syrupy with some fruit. Slightly spicy with some yeast sediment.

Pours a hazy orange with a small head and some lacing on the glass.
The aroma is crazy lots of banana.... like banana runts. Plenty of sweet spices and some robust graininess.
The flavor is spicy with a mild touch of astringency, the citrus and fruity character is nice, the banana is more controlled in the flavor than it is in the aroma. Some rye bread robust character is nice.

Bottle. Hazy deep amber color, scant head. Aroma of spiced caramel. Taste is sweetly spiced brown bread and fruitcake.

Bottle thanks to jcwattsrugger. The body was a deep reddish copper with a light khaki head on top. The nose is fairly boozy with some cloves and peanuts. There is a little bit of funk. The taste was caramel and lots of funky leather. There was also some banana peels. As I drank more I got some cinnamon type spice. Decent.

Bottle. Aroma of banana, cherry and alcohol. Amber body with thin dissipating head. Flavor begins sweet with notes of cherry, followed by clove, spice and yeast. Candied malt finish with a nice alcohol warming power. A tasty winter beer.

Pours cloudy brown. Smells of bread yeast and banana. Floral hops in teh aroma as well as booze. Lots on the tongue and palate. Medium carbonation. Pretty good.

Subtle smell of cinnamon, roast, hops, malt, and pine. Crisp light brown color. No head or lace. Flavor is hops, alcohol, pine, spices, and a slight sweetness of sugar at the very end.

Aroma: The nose has lots of banana, spice, Belgian yeast, candied sugar, and some wheat too
Appearance: It pours a dark reddish-brown color with a thick foam of beige head and minimal lace
Flavor: It is on the sweet side, with some yeast, spice, and mild hops too, but the sweetness dominates
Palate: The body is medium, it feels quite a bit sticky, and leaves a sticky, lingering tingle on the mouth
Overall Impression:
This one is kind of a mixed bag. There are good components, but there are really bad components too. It’s hard too go too high on a beer that leaves such an odd and a little unpleasing feel on the mouth. Like I said, it is a mixed bag, but my score reflects my overall feel of the whole combination There’s some good, bad, and everything in between here.
