| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 21, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a deep hazy golden.copper with a massive foamy whiteh head- diminshes a bit - some lace. Aroma is orange spice, earthy, slight wet dog, leather, crackery malts, and lemon zest and phenolic earthy belgian yeastiness. Flavor is a bit flat and boring- orange zest, orang mints, phenolic, crackery pale malt is not very fresh or bready, just a bit dull, floral and grassy with some flat sweet honey like hints. Finish has a slight tang to it with a zesty slight tartness. meh. blankboy (3263), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a hazy, very bubbly, copper-gold with an average size lasting frothy white head. Aroma of wheat and spices foremost along with a good amount of breadiness and yeast. Flavour also starts with wheat and spices along with some citrus fruit, bready malt and light Belgian yeast. Average to medium bodied. Pretty good (and no banana -- yay!). | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 12, 2009 Bottle thanks to Cletus. Pours with a nearly clear yellow body with a fluffy, and somewhat large white head atop. Not nearly cloudy enough for a wit beer, but I digress. Aroma of coriander, dryness, light clove, fresh tobacco, tumbleweed, jasmine, lemon peel and a touch of candi sugar. Interesting. Taste starts off sweet and fruity with citrus notes, and ends bone dry and spicy. Yeast reminds me a lot of the Unibroue yeast. Candi sugar notes. Bubbly mouthfeel. Interesting "wit". | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 7, 2008 In short: A big not-refreshing condensed witbier.
How: Bottle 12oz, drank fresh soon after purchase
The look: Cloudy dark yellow body topped by a small white head
In long: A whole lot of hay in this one, big chewy body that borders some kind of purée. Slightly unpleasant strong fruity flavours of overripe pineapples and banana purée. Light spicy notes with the usual coriander and friends array of witbier spicy flavours. Alcohol apparent which is particularly annoying in this style. This Double White tries too hard to be too much. Like with a NFL defensive lineup a Single White could have been enough. riversideAK (2808), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 2, 2008 Bottle from hopdog. Thanks dude! Golden orange, nice fluffy head, some floaties. Spice, coriander, orange peel, wheat aromas. Acidic flavors of orange rinds, wheat, and spice. This might actually be kind of hoppy too. Lots of carbonation tickles the tongue. Tangy finish with a soft underlying wheat that softens it out a little. michael-pollack (2761), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
