seandwyer (10), USA Mar 24, 2008 Bottle. Great bubble gum nose, hazy unfiltered apperance of straw. Slight cornmeal/bready taste up front while the finish is of a superb belgian wit. Alcohol is undetectable. Great brew from river horse. Their finest to date. scraff (1921), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Apr 16, 2008 12oz - Dark hazed orange, thick creamy off white head (great lacing). Bready orange zest aromas lay on soft undercurrents of coriander and pear. Spiced citrus and soft honey flavors balance over hefty yeast-like tones. Rounds with just a touch of peppery bitterness. 7% is well hidden. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying, spiced bready finish. The best beer ever brewed by these guys. Extremely well done and damn near perfect for the warmer months ahead…. nuplastikk (1159), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jul 22, 2008 12oz bottle. Darker than expected orange-tan colored beer with a very frothy, thick head. 7% hardly justifies the "Double" categorization or the hefty price tag for a sixer, but this is a great beer. Lacy smooth mouthfeel, with some Belgian candi sugar tastes in there potentially. Sweet and creamy, with lots of Wit spices coming through as well. A top notch beer from River Horse, perhaps the best I’ve had from them. beergeek86 (33), Clarksville, Maryland, USA Jun 4, 2008 Updated: Jun 8, 2008aroma- hops, spice, citrus, yeast, alcohol.

wonderful beer!!! KornDogg (168), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 2, 2009 Updated: Jun 9, 2009Just bought a case of this and am happy with my purchase... great wit, spicy cloves and citrus with beautiful balance, maybe a hint of honey... hides the alcohol well Cletus (5002), Connecticut, USA Jul 15, 2009 Pours a hazy amber with a nice white head. Smells of coriander, citrus, grassy, wheaty, some spicy hints. Tastes of citrus, some honey, coriander, some spice, peppery hints. Nicely carbonated with a dry finish. A really like this brewery’s take on Belgian styles and other experimental beers and hope they do more. At $14 for a sixer of their tripel and $8 for a 4 pack of this, they make some of the best beer for the price out there. Brewer101 (162), New Jersey, USA Jun 6, 2008 Nice head and nice sediment. One of river horses better beers. It was a hazey orange pour. Its aroma was of banana and orange peel. The flavor kept with the Orange and had hints of wheat. Nice palate too. guzzler67 (1272), Hanover, Maryland, USA Aug 31, 2008 Hazy, dark gold appearance with a large white head and modest lacing. Sweet, fruity, spicy aroma evolves from a yeasty start. Smooth, moderately spiced, wheaty taste. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated mouthfeel with a lingering, slightly tart, finish.
