Very nice, one of the better pumpkin beers I have had, even with the high HBV, no one ingredient too overpowering like other pumpkin beers

So Iím not into pumpkin flavored things all too much and to make a brew like this must have been a very difficult feat. Iíve tried the equivalents from the likes of Dogfish Head, Southern Tier, Weyerbacher etc. and this beer not only takes the cake but trumps all opponents(Dogfish clearly second place). Amazing amber color with the smell of nutmeg, toffee, caramel, and a touch of pumpkin. Tastes of gourmet pumpkin pie. Right on the money. Makes me happy to be from New Jersey.

aroam, fruity, malty, some spice, squash like esters, color, bottle, taste sutle spice, nutmeg, mild perfect blend, allowed the suashyness of the pumpkin to excel!, migled with the malt, overall, great pumpkin ale, perfect balance!

FROTHINGSLOSH (5077) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 12, 2011
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky orange-caramel with a medium sized fluffy beige head that lingered and left some lacing. The aroma was sweetish pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon. The flavor was strong sweet pumpkin pie. The finish was long and the body was thick. The alcohol was very well hidden. Excellent.

Bottle with PAt, pours a brown amber color with medium sized tan head, not a whole lot of lacing. Aromas of pumpkin puree, cinnamon, vanilla, and brown sugar.Taste is a creamy vanilla pumpkin pie, lots of nice spicing as well. I would put this in my top 10 of pumpkin brews.

Bottle: Pours a slightly hazy copper orange with a spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of lightly sweet caramel malt and fresh pumpkin with a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg. Starts with good fullness and rich sweet caramel and toffee with good pumpkin flavor and spice balance before a slightly drier biscuity finish. An enjoyable, complex and well-balanced pumpkin ale.

Pours a slightly thickened light to medium orange with a nice off white head. A bit of lacing as it goes down. Nose is caramel, brown sugar, hints of cream, and plenty of pumpkin spices. Taste is the same with the more traditional, non-spice flavors taking the front seat. Well balanced. Mouthfeel is medium and a bit creamy. Drinkability gets a higher score as this really goes down well and is one of only a few pumpkins beers that I can actually drink twelve ounces of. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-28-2010

Ar: Clove, cinnamon and black pepper - spicy and warm, some sweet malt aroma as well. Ap: Murky amber-orange - medium light tank head with great retention and a thick frothy lacing. T: Brown sugar, clove, cinnamon, allspice - pumpkin spices are well balanced, and not sharp at all - deep caramel and toasted malt character, too, medium-sweet - a bit of vanilla lingers on the finish - alcohol is slightly warming, but incredibly smooth. P: Hearty and full palate with medium carbonation - finish is not cloying sweet at all, but there is certainly substantial mouthfeel that follows into finish. O: This is really wonderful - bold malt, caramel, and pumpkin spice flavors, all of which are smooth, well-integrated, and delicious - mouthfeel is beautiful - highly recommended, one of the best I have had this season.

This is a very good pumpkin ale. The pumpkin and the spices are not over powering. A great balance. I really enjoyed drinking this but unfortunately I had only one to drink.
