Brewing the perfect ale is truly a balancing act ... Hazardous work you might say. With Hop Hazard our challenge was to hand craft a malt rich base that could counterbalance a combustible five-hop blend and still leave your taste buds with enough room to enjoy a unique, dry-hopped finish.

Bottled. Pours a hazy copper (itís unfiltered) with a big pillowy creamy white head. Aroma is excellent balance of hops and malts. Caramel, some burnt sugar. Flavor is also an awesome blaance. Burnt sugar sweetness on the front, with a hoppy finish. Very nice pale ale, despite its name, it is not overly hoppy. And itís fresh tasting, which I like.

Sampled at the brewery. Great beer hop flavors but well balanced with the malt flavors. Nice and hazey looking.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy light brown color with a thick rocky beige head. Slight grainy toasted malt aroma. Rich toasted malt flavor. Notes of caramel, nuts and vanilla. Nice balance with spicy hops in finish. Overall, a decent full-bodied flavorful ale.

Six pack from NJ. Pours out a cloudy medium amber color. Nice frothy light tan head. Good malty aromas and flavors. Hop profile reminds me of some of my early homebrews. Flavors are a bit muddled, but overall this one drinks clean and enjoyable. Decent.

From notes: Poured hazy orange-amber with a 1-finger white head. Aroma of citrusy hops with a touch of caramel. Medium body, slightly oily with a brief, dry finish. Flavor of citrusy hops with nutty malt underneath.
