COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewing the perfect ale is truly a balancing act ... Hazardous work you might say. With Hop Hazard our challenge was to hand craft a malt rich base that could counterbalance a combustible five-hop blend and still leave your taste buds with enough room to enjoy a unique, dry-hopped finish.

Malty hay aroma, with a slight disposition towards hops. Golden and cloudy appearance - visible suspended particles when held to a light. Medium sweetness, minimally bitter, lightly sour. Surprisingly light body for the flavor, somewhat watery.

Six pack from NJ. Pours out a cloudy medium amber color. Nice frothy light tan head. Good malty aromas and flavors. Hop profile reminds me of some of my early homebrews. Flavors are a bit muddled, but overall this one drinks clean and enjoyable. Decent.

From notes: Poured hazy orange-amber with a 1-finger white head. Aroma of citrusy hops with a touch of caramel. Medium body, slightly oily with a brief, dry finish. Flavor of citrusy hops with nutty malt underneath.

This is about your middle of the road pale ale. I was a little disappointed after then pour was a beautiful dark amber with a nice thick off white head...but it went away quickly. Aroma of hops, taste of alcohol is a little too much for my liking. Probably won’t buy again as there are many better alternatives.

Received in a trade from jdb288. This is quite dark for the style being darker brown. Hazy with a nice creamy beige head. I smell gentle caramel malts and the first sip is that. They are thick and creamy in the mouth. The after taste of that sip is all hops. Citrus with mild bitterness. That was pretty much every sip. Malt flavors with citrus in the after taste. Unusual. This was tasty and a good way to start a weekend.

Pours to a merkey goldish color with thick off white head. Smells hoppy to almost tangy. Taste is bitter and a little watery, aftertaste lingers

Oily and unfiltered, not pale but copper orange, good mix of hops, a bit malty. Some caramel and some liquor taste. Lasting alcoholic palate. A simple yet quality ale.

Pours a heavy golden yellow. Smells very hoppy for a beer that claims to be ’balanced with hops.’ It’s slightly more bitter than I expected. Tastes of hops, pine, and not much else. This one is ok.

12oz. Pours deep copper with a small soapy white head. Just a small ring of lace is left. Aromas of fresh zested lime/lemon, light pine, and toasted malts. The flavor is light with a touch of pine, citrus, and some caramel showing. Hefty malt body in this one and just a touch of something off. Decent just different.

August 2010. Bottle. Amber color with a white head. Middle of the road pale ale. Drinkable, but not very intersting.
