COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The fabled Hop-a-lot-amus is a mythical creature. The heavy hop character of this Double IPA is as subtle as a "river horse" in your lap, but finishes like a hippo in a tutu. Enjoy! 93 IBUs

Bottle from Oak Tree. Pours copper amber with a foamy beige head. It’s so hoppy it smells like hippo crap. Med body;foamy carb. Flavor is roasty malt overwhelmed by a lot of hop. It’s very astringent, and seems like citrus and resin. GFS!! Trust me on that.

Pours an orange-amberish color with a small head. Resinous and grapefruit peel in the aroma. A pretty nice hint of caramel also. Flavor is really hoppy and nice. Christmas tree sap, citrus peel and a nice balancing dose of malt.

Bottle… Cloudy amber ale with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Good retention. The bouquet is of bold, earthy lupulin that presents pungent whiffs of sweaty socks, old stinky cheese and resin… absolutely works for me. Full-bodied and mildly creamy with restrained carbonation. Bitter, very lightly salty flavor with a dab of caramel sweetness sneaking in as the beer warms to around 70 degrees. Finishes bitter, raspy and dry. Bottle courtesy of jtclockwork!
