Bottle. Always liked the bottle for this one unfortunately that’s where my love for this beer ends. A pale malty, grainy, and somewhat skunk y session beer. Need i say more.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a white head that foams like car shampoo. Active carbonation that never dies down. Smells like a tailgate at first, then, mysteriously, doesn’t smell at all. Taste is super sweet, banana and pear and honey. Halfway through, a deep inhale does betray a bit of maltiness. It is, in fact, a bit creamy - not fizzy or thin at all. I suspect if I brought a case of this to a summer picnic, this would be the beer that, after all the Rolling Rock and Miller Lite were gone and people had no choice but to reach for this, they would say, "This is really good. I should have been drinking this. What’s it called again?"

August 2008 Beer of the Month Club

Overall Impression: Pretty boring pale lager, nothing distinguishes it really. This was part of the my Aug 2008 beer of the month pack, looks like River Horse makes some interesting beers, too bad they sent me this one...

Bottle Pours a cloudy gold with a small white head. The head lasts okay. Aroma of sweet malts and a touch of honey. Has a good carbination. A fairly good crispness. Alright finish. Definately has a light body. Has a touch of creaminess. This is not a bad beer. Lacks a big punch but very refreshing.

Bottle. Not your typical lager. Notes of honey sweetness, floral. Reminds me almost of a kellerbier. Very drinkable & not bad at all

Poured from bottle - sampler pack. Aroma of corn and gas. Good looking dark gold, this head. Slightly toasted malt flavor, some hops, somewhat sweet in the back. Fresh feel. Good finish. An unspectacular, but enjoyable beer.

THOUGHTS: A nice pale lager. Way better than most macros and imports, but still not a great beer. Smelled a little funky at first, but then became more pleasant at it warmed a little. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a sparkling, medium to dark yellow with beautiful carbonation and a small, slightly off-white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma was moderate grain and hay, light to moderate grassy hops, light to moderate barnyard and some sourness. The flavor started out fairly acidic and sweet, while the finish was lightly sweet with some more acidity and a touch of sourness that had a short duration. There was grain, citrus (lemon), then some sour lemon. The light to medium body was watery and then a little dry with fizzy carbonation and a lightly astringent finish.

Dry yeast aroma. Hazy golden color with a medium and quickly fading white head. Mildly sweet light lager hop finish. A little chewy palate.
