3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Rattle N Hum, July 2012. Dark brown with a tan head. Quite sweet and not that interesting to be honest. Roasted malt, toffee and notes of fruit and something that reminded of milk.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Pours a deep black color with a two finger tan colored head that lasts and leaves some mild lacing. Smell of roasted malts with hints of dark chocolate. Tastes of roasted malts, a light bit of chocolate, hints of coffee and a mild bitterness through the finish. There is a mild creamy quality to this throughout. Mouthfeel is lightly crisp to start and smooth through the finish with a medium body.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2012 Bottle into a Lager glass, very dark almost black with on light passing through and a thick brown head. Tastes of toffee, roasty, chocolate very good with more co2 than you would think in a stout. Nice warm finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark dark brown color with very thin, cream-colored head. Smelled of toasted oats, coffee, and a slight booze note.
The flavor of deep, rich, dark chocolaty coffee malts and roasted oats with a hint of acidic sweetness on the exhale. the hop notes are there, but buried under the roasted coffee notes. Good dense weight and smooth carbonation. Goes down easy, but not a session beer—maximum of two in one sitting for me.
