Poured draught at Rattle N Hum in NYC. Pours pitch black without much head. Intense aroma of espresso with some chocolat notes and oats. An overall sweet smell. Taste is sweet with some bitterness in the finish. A really nice stout.

Appearance: pours with a small brown head, the beer is an opaque black color with nice size brown particles floating around the bottom Aroma: milk chocolate, dark roasted coffee, Taste: chocolate with a mild milk sweetness, alcohol warmth, some coffee bitterness but it's minimal Palate: soft carbonation, full mouthfeel, slight bittersweet aftertaste Overall: this is pretty good, a bit more alcohol warmth comes thru than I was expecting with its moderate abv, nice mix of milk and chocolate though ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light aroma is the only negative about this beer. Nice dark color, thick mouth feel, and excellent taste. Very sweet, even for an oatmeal milk stout. Maybe a slight milk chocolate scent and taste for that sweet portion. Tap

Deep dark brown beer with a medium foamy beige head that subsides quickly. Nose of cocoa, root beer, and scorched nuts. Flavor is rich and sweet with chocolate, sweetened coffee, and vanilla giving way to a mellow roasted bitterness that lingers. Relatively thin body for a stout, but lots of flavor. This is good.

Pours deep brown almost black head quickly dissipates. Aroma coffee, chocolate, sweet, roasty. The flavor is coffee, chocolate, and creamy, some caramel, and earthy. Overall very well balanced, nice and thick body.

Pours a deep mahogany brown with a light brown head which disappears quickly......aroma is coffee, dark chocolate....taste is quite enjoyable, coffee, coffee ground bitterness, smooths to plum as the taste retreats. A lingering coffee remains. Just a touch more mouthfeel would sent it over the top.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a deep brown, nearly black color with a two finger head of tan colored foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading to leave only a trace of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the brew is rather strong of an oatmeal and roasted malt smell, mixed with some vanilla and sweet crème sweetness. There are some other aromas of chocolate and a little bit of a burnt smell, leaving one with a nice roasty and sweet smell overall. Taste – The taste begins with a rather sweet and roasty flavor with a whole lot of vanilla and caramel sweetness matched by some light chocolate and a whole lot of roast. Right from the start there is also a very hearty oatmeal flavor which creates a fantastic base taste for the brew. As the taste advances a more chocolate and some crème come to the tongue, with these, in the end, leaving one with a nice oaty and slightly roasty and sweet flavor to linger on the on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thicker and chewier side with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. For the style and the nice sweet oatmeal and roasty tastes of the beer, the feel is fantastic, creating one nice and thick mouth coating feel that baths the tongue in all the great flavors of the brew. Overall- This is a quite nice oatmeal stout. Sweet, but not overly sweet. Dark, but not overly dark or roasty like. Mixed with a whole lot of sweet oatmeal, it makes for one delicious brew.
