1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 arojewski (18) - Old Bridge, New Jersey, USA - DEC 26, 2012I was actually upset by this beer. Now, I’m a huge fan of Belgian style, but the wheat feature in this brew honestly made me want to vomit. I don’t mean to say that it’s not great, it’s just not my style. I don’t drink wheat beers. But this brew masquerading as a delicious dark beer tricked me. I’ve actually even dumped a few of them.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy orange/amber color with a creamy white head. Aroma of citrus, and sweet fruit. Taste is sweet citrus, caramel malt, and a slight alcohol burn on the finish.

A light orange pour with white head. A very strong vanilla and honey aroma. A great Belgium style beer with a vanilla and cherry taste that isn’t too overpowering. Has a dry finish
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 bth122 (912) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 1, 2013
Bottle. Poured a golden honey color. One finger head. Aroma is honey, Belgium yeast, candy, slight coriander, slight orange. Medium light sweetness. A bit of warming alcohol. Average carbonation. A bit of dry finish. Pretty good. I could drink another.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 BlackHaddock (2432) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 27, 2013
On tap pint in Alfie’s, 9th Ave, New York on 18 Jan 2013.
First three words on my notes: Bubble-gum, cloudy and sweet. That kind of sums up the brew nicely. Luckily I like sweet brews normally, this one however caught me out somewhat.
If this is supposed to be in a Belgian Tripel style they’ve gone wrong completely: as a stand alone brew however it was fine, not really to my liking but there is nothing bad or poor about it.
The alcohol is well hidden by the vanilla/bubble-gum flavours and I managed to finish my pint without any undue problem, but I’ll never have another.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Jrwhitney6 (123) - - MAY 21, 2013
Pours a hazy orange with minimal head. Nose of some vanilla and spice. Taste has some sweetness...burnt sugar followed by alcohol burn. Alcohol more prominent than other triples, but not overpowering. Good.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 kuphish (378) - Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Bottle from EithCubes. Deep, hazy golden pour with a diminishing white head. Nice lace on the glass. Vanilla aroma with candyish pils and some rosy alcohol notes. Faint spicy presence. Flavor has more alcohol that comes through quite sweet and enhances the malt. Vanilla is still there and some light cherry. Body is quite full and the carbonation is light. Sweet finish. Overall pretty good, but the palate drags it down. Could be drier for me.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 NikkTwist (965) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 13, 2013
Draft at Khyber Pass. Hazy orange amber. Fizzy head disappeared quickly. Despite the booziness, feels like a watery Trippel with earthy hops. Unusual, but I can not say I really enjoy it. Can see it improving with age. The fuzzy edges need to be refined.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 crajun (709) - , Texas, USA - MAY 12, 2013
Received in trade from. Greatly enjoyed this beer. Been awhile since I had this style. Nice aroma but I can’t identify - springtime. Apple? Gold honey pour with lots of lacing. Palate is med and soft. Taste is slight fruit and dries at end. Niiiiice
