COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Notice a unique aromatic nose with a hint of vanilla esters, which comes from the Belgian ale yeast. Tripel Horse has a big body and rich mouth feel and finishes mostly dry with only a touch of sweetness. If you shy from some of the sweeter Belgian ales, we think you will enjoy this one. The palate improves with age, so keep some on hand and you can ride Tripel Horse down a new path with each opened bottle.

I was actually upset by this beer. Now, Iím a huge fan of Belgian style, but the wheat feature in this brew honestly made me want to vomit. I donít mean to say that itís not great, itís just not my style. I donít drink wheat beers. But this brew masquerading as a delicious dark beer tricked me. Iíve actually even dumped a few of them.

Stumbled on in a Westchester gas station beer cave. Poured from a bottle. Amber in the glass. Hefty fine bubbled head. Syrupy pour and a lot of carbonation. Nose is sweet caramel. Palate is round sweet, sticky, up front. Grains carry a little weight to help with balance. Pretty good for gas station beer.

Bottle from HO1K. Pours a hazy amber with a thin white ring. Strong aroma of tartness, yeast, and bread. Medium carbonation. Clingy, lightly oily texture. Nice mouth feel. Taste is mostly mildly tart yeast with a somewhat dry finish. Kind of one dimentional. Would be better if the flavor was more complex. Hides the alcohol well.

Poured from the tap at The Brick House in Willow Grove PA. The appearance is a reddish golden color with a small white head. The aroma is hops, malt and some vanilla. The flavor is malt driven and has some fruit notes tossed in.

This is one of the single best beers Iíve had in quite some time. Itís got a beautiful color, a rich taste, and a smooth finish for a beer thatís 10% abv. I love this beer.

I poured it from the bottle into a pint glass. It pours a cloudy golden color with a white head and some lacing. The aroma was underwhelming. It was alcohol and spice. The taste was yeast, banana, clove, and booze. There was a nice carbonation with a slight alcohol burn. The alcohol was noticeable but still hidden for the actual content. This was pretty good.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy gold. Smells strongly of yeast and spice. Taste is a burst full of flavor (at first earthy, malty, and yeasty with a hint of vanilla) that gradually ripens into strong spice and alcohol. Finish is very boozy.

Poured a golden color with a white head. Aroma was of light caramel, yeast and booze. Flavor similar, pretty standard American tripel.
