COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Notice a unique aromatic nose with a hint of vanilla esters, which comes from the Belgian ale yeast. Tripel Horse has a big body and rich mouth feel and finishes mostly dry with only a touch of sweetness. If you shy from some of the sweeter Belgian ales, we think you will enjoy this one. The palate improves with age, so keep some on hand and you can ride Tripel Horse down a new path with each opened bottle.

Pours a hazy orange with minimal head. Nose of some vanilla and spice. Taste has some sweetness...burnt sugar followed by alcohol burn. Alcohol more prominent than other triples, but not overpowering. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from EithCubes. Deep, hazy golden pour with a diminishing white head. Nice lace on the glass. Vanilla aroma with candyish pils and some rosy alcohol notes. Faint spicy presence. Flavor has more alcohol that comes through quite sweet and enhances the malt. Vanilla is still there and some light cherry. Body is quite full and the carbonation is light. Sweet finish. Overall pretty good, but the palate drags it down. Could be drier for me.

Draft at Khyber Pass. Hazy orange amber. Fizzy head disappeared quickly. Despite the booziness, feels like a watery Trippel with earthy hops. Unusual, but I can not say I really enjoy it. Can see it improving with age. The fuzzy edges need to be refined.

Received in trade from. Greatly enjoyed this beer. Been awhile since I had this style. Nice aroma but I can’t identify - springtime. Apple? Gold honey pour with lots of lacing. Palate is med and soft. Taste is slight fruit and dries at end. Niiiiice

12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, spice, and banana. Taste is Belgian yeast, caramel, spice, and vanilla. Not sure of this one.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle thanks to Ramy! Pours a hazy orange copper with a thin white whispered of a head that likes to stay around. The first impression I get from the aroma is banana that moves to a hint at coconut. The taste is a vanilla, banana, bready concoction. Bready and peppery in the finish. Not bad.

Very earthy, thick, good, not too sweet. Would get again in winter. Bigger alcohol.

Liked this one a lot. Very strong banana nose and taste. Nice tripel spiciness. Etoh was a little over prevalent. Would be recommendation of choice for river horse beers I’ve tried so far. Beer was a lot more affirmative than their other beers - bolder flavor profile.

Spicy yeasty aroma with some sweet notes, too. Spicy, cloves, yeast, and some sweet sugars and malts, too. A nice bite of yeast on the finish. Pretty decent beer. Doesn’t feel 10%. One of my favorite strong beers to buy in bulk.

Bottle. Hazy golden yellow color, tiny white head. Aroma of peppery straw. taste is sweet, boozy caramel with a bitter finish.
