3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Lots of banana in the nose. Some bubble gum. Not a lot of clove. Low carbonation. A touch sweet. Would enjoy this more if it were a touch drier and more carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap, brewpub, backlog. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow orange body with a minimal off-white head that fell to a thin ring. The nose is very estery with lots of banana and clove, quite yeasty with some light hay. Pretty well spot on for my tastes in the style. The flavor is very spicy and refreshing, lots of clove, with an almost cinnamon like note. Nice soft yeast profile. Lingering clove and banana bread finish. Mouthfeel is softened nicely by the yeast, adding a nice texture. Fizzy spritzy carbonation level. Not bad, kinda middle of the road for the style.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours from tap cloudy and golden with a light head that doesn’t leave any lacing. The aroma has some sort of funky banana vibe. The taste has the banana and clove notes you’d expect. The finish is slightly dry which I wasn’t expecting. Not my favorite hefe but, in fairness, their haven’t been a lot of American hefe’s I’ve really dug.
