650 ml. bottle. Pours a very thin short lived white head without lacing, over a cloudy, gold (SRM 5) body......nose is light pear, apple, vinous, slight clove.....taste is light pear, apple vinous, with grape tones, slight vanilla, mild clove and light pepper on finish.....mouth feel light, alcohol hidden, carbonation high. This is listed as a Saison on the label. It meets the style quite nicely, has good complexity in both aroma and flavor. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 wchesser (667) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 30, 2012
Dark gold orange w/ fading head. Decent saison qualities. Good but nothing too special especially at the price.

22 oz bomber. Pours golden, slightly hazy with no head to speak of. Aroma is basically all yeast and fruity esters. Earthy, grassy flavors, with some pear and more yeast thrown in. More tripel characteristics than a saison.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Ernest (5610) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 26, 2012
Bottle.
Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing.
Body is medium to dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty (cement, cobwebs), with notes of bubble gum, banana candy, pepper.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Not very good...candyish, banana/gum-heavy aroma, and too sweet in the mouth. A pretty typical Americanized rendition.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 TAR (2346) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - MAY 23, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 25, 2012 Draught snifter at Vine Street Pub: Toasted orange. Fragmented eggshell foam. Horrendously off-putting and artificial-smelling odors of gummy candy, applesauce, custard, butterscotch, bath soap, grape bubblegum. Light-bodied with edgy carbonation. Semi-dry and firm with an early crackery malt surge swirled with a tarnishing applesauce flab. Underattenuated yeasty rancidity imparts mucky notes of dirty dish rag and circus peanuts. Discordant flavors of buttery dandelion and a gummy candy slickness muddle the center. Sugary sweetness steadily heightens as the pear syrup and Red Delicious apple gain steam. Poorly masked alcohol combines with the malt to create a honey-soaked poundcake effect. Malt is on the haylike/toasty/biscuity side, but also is quite husky and grainy. Finishes puttylike in its yeastiness with an overemphasized spicy fervency from excessive adjuncts. A very unclean and aimless rendition. Calling this a saison makes my heart hurt. But regardless of stylistic guidelines, this is just plain foul.

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange pour with thin white head, aroma brought slight biscuit, grain, unrefined sugary vanilla, hints of slight grass and a hint of funk but not much. Taste is a mix of sweet grainy vanilla, touch of biscuit, bread, touch of yeast but not much. Finishes fairly sweet.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 onceblind (2534) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 15, 2012
Slightly hazy gold with a short but laceful white head. Delightful mix of aromas, like molasses, apricot syrup, toffee, and marmalade toast. Taste was much the same. Complex, sweet, and yeasty. Starts with some dark fruit tones, a little syrupy or some molasses, and then some light fruit times come in, like apricot and peach with some smooth saison yeast and a little doughy tone before the sweet pale malt and toffee tones come in to finish.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 adnielsen (6181) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 14, 2012
Tap @ River North. Pours a bit hazy, golden orange appearance with a white head. Somewhat citrusy fruity, somewhat peppery, yeasty, sweet malty aroma. I got a ton of apricot/peach fruitiness in the flavor along with some spiciness, though this really didn’t jump out at me as a saison- much more like a belgian ale. Ok but may need some tweaks (like using an actual saison yeast).
