Cask, handpump at Riverhead Brewery Tap, Marsden, W.Yorks 22.04.11 Pours amber with a medium white head, touch creamy, good clarity to the beer. Touch caramelly, some late but insubstantial bitterness, touch dry, bit fruity, but not a beer to excite. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask conditioned at The Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Brown with white head. I got a faint hint of medical wipes from this, alcohol notes to the fore which was strange for this ABV. I think it was close to its end, but this is what I found. Some hoppy notes and a biscuity malt.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark brown ale, completely malt dominated aroma and taste, with sultana fruitiness. A refreshing change given the trend for pale, golden and hoppy these days. Perhaps best described as What London Pride Should Be...
