330ml bottle. Murky, amber-brown colour with a generous tan head which lasted well and left some nice lacing. Aroma of pine resin dominates with some caramel. Light / medium sweetness gives way to a medium / heavy bitterness. Smooth, medium bodied, generous carbonation and a dry, roastiness. Very long lasting pine resin stickiness in the finish. Pretty decent. 7.

Pours a dark amber colour with a bubbly, pale brown coloured head. The aroma is of hops and malt. It has a moderately bitter and resinous flavour that is surprisingly long-lasting on the palate. Another excellent beer by Riverside.

330ml bottle into glass. Alcohol malt nose. Dark prune juice colour with soapy off white head. Bitter taste followed by dark chocolate finish. Alcohol warmth is present throughout. Good, not great.

(Bottle) Hazy brown with good off-white head. Aroma is rich toffee with citrus tang. Medium body, medium carbonation. Taste is rich dark toffee with some complex notes that I couldn’t place but added depth, with some nice bitterness - not aggressive bite, but good contribution to the flavours. Overall, a very good beer.

Draught at Bitter suite, New Farm. Poured a translucent murky reddish brown with a 5mm light tan foamy head that retained OK and laced OK. Carbonation high and coarse. Aroma strongly of a really nice fruity hops as well as caramel malt. Taste dominated by moderate and nice hops with a caramel sweetness. Light body. Smooth, crisp, refreshing with slight roasted grain on the finish. Quite nice.

An upmarket amber ale. Strong malt flavour with a choice hop usage. Higher alcohol, medium carbonation. Appears red amber with a beige head. Sweet malt aroma, citrus and fruity hop aroma. Flavour is toffee, stonefruit, passionfruit and citrus. Enjoyable and would have again, but nothing spectacular
