Riverside Imperial Stout

Pitch black. Dark tan head. Smelled of alcohol and roasted malt. Great oily mouthfeel, too much alcohol coming forward in the taste. Pretty unbalanced as it warmed, which is not the norm for an impy stout. According to the server, this beer is actually the winning recipe in a homebrew contest sponsored by the restaurant. Overall pretty good, but not at all a good beer to use when trying to introduce real beer to the Miller crowd.
