Skyview (2851), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Nov 23, 2007 Sampled on draught at the brewpub in West Bend, Wisconsin. Pours a clear dark cola brown brew with a creamy off-white head that has some great retention and lacing. Aroma of light toasted dark malt, some flowery hops and a touch of chocolate mocha. Taste is medium to full bodied, smooth with a dry toasted malt and chocolate flavor. Finish is slightly watery, but has a light bread dough aftertaste with a lingering dry bitterness after the finish. keoki182 (298), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA Jul 9, 2006 Enjoyed at the restaurant in a 23oz glass. Beautiful deep brown/black with dark tan head. Roasty mocha aroma. Creamy mouthfeel, excellent smoky flavor. Tastes like a S’mores treat without marshmallow. The graham and chocolate flavors are there in full effect. This beer’s taste and body opened more as it warmed, creating a true dining experience before dinner. However, that would be a mistake, as Riverside Brewery and Restaurant offers some of the finest food in West Bend, WI. Try the Cuban Pork Sandwich, it’s fantastic. JPDIPSO (4234), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Feb 27, 2006 Black in color with a small tan lid. Full roasted and toasted malt aromas. Hints of pine trees in the backdrop. Full rich fell. Lots of malt in this one. Coffee, toast, dark chocolate all are in there. Nearly too rich. This one can sustain me for a while.
