Seventy Seven is a big American style IPA and a celebration of hops utilising four different hops throughout the brewing process. Seventy Seven starts big then finishes clean leaving you wanting more. But be careful, as this one’s a real heavyweight!
Seventy Seven IPA is unfiltered and bottle conditioned for maximum taste and enjoyment.

Bottle poured into glass at mumu grill. Pours hazy deep orange gold with resilient off white decent sized tight head. Passionfruit, pine, citrus and tropical fruit on the nose atop of a light caramel malt character. Hops at the forefront. Body is medium-light, a touch of malt character, but a fruit salad of hops are there with a medium flavour and bitterness. ABV well cared for, however some odd flavours; salty, mineral and light veg are apparent on the finish. Overall well done. Pity the Americans do them so much better.

Bottle - pours dark orange with a small lacy head. Aroma is tropical fruit, lots of fruit. Taste is resin hop upfront with a bit of fruit, then a caramel bittersweet finish. Medium palate.

One of my favourite IPAs. It has great depth of flavour from start to finish and is thoroughly enjoyable. Unlike some other IPAs, I usually stick to only one or two of these before moving onto something a little lighter. I wouldn’t recommend this beer for the newly converted or those just dabbling their feet in the boutique beer keg for the first time.

Pours dark amber with a large head. Nose shows heavy malt, honey, caramel and soft resinous piny hops. Flavours include more honey and caramel along with floral and spicy hops hinting at Earl Grey tea.

Malty, fruity, alcohol taste. Bitter, resin aftertaste. Medium a bit fizzy mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Clear deep golden color, off-white head with lacing. Malty, fruity, tutti frutti scent.

Poured a cloudy dark golden amber colour with a one-finger off-white frothy head that retained for quite a while and laced well. Carbonation moderate to high and fine. Aroma of beautiful fruity hops (citrus, hints of passionfruit), spices and hints of malt; alcohol very well hidden. Taste from start to finish dominated by a really nice bitterness plus spices, citrus, tropical fruits which made me want more; alcohol well hidden. Light to medium body. Smooth and crisp with a lingering moderately strong bitterness on the finish. Very nice and tasty and a good beer!

From a 330ml bottle on 14/7/2015. Pours a clear deep golden with a small head. Has a nice aroma with floral, fruity and herbal notes. In the mouth, there’s biscuity and caramel malt, a hefty dose of sweet stone fruit (apricot and peach), and some spice at the back. The bitterness is firm without being over the top. The texture is slick and chewy with average carbonation. I really like this. Not particularly US or English in style, it’s very tasty and drinks very easily for 7.7%.

330ml bottle. Opaque, pale amber / copper colour with frothy, beige head which reduced to a ring but left some nice lacing. Pleasant but restrained and balanced aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, caramel and malt. Light to medium sweetness and similar bitterness. Light to medium body, thin texture, soft carbonation and some resin in the finish. Not bold enough to be considered an American style IPA but decent enough on its own merits and perilously drinkable at 7.7abv. 7.

Bottle (12 months aged): Hazy, cloudy, copper brown with a light head and a little lace. The aroma is very lifted with malt and sweet citrus hops. Loads of caramel. Dry, not sour but a slightly acid edge due to co2 and moderately high bitterness. Loads of caramel on the palate. Huge CO2 and very creamy. Lots of yeast and fruit aromatic ally and on the palate. Some dried fruit also present. This is a very English style of IPA. I really find this style very interesting and unique compared to the U.S. IPA.
