Thanks to drowland for this. Light golden pour, brief snow white head. Aroma of artificial blueberry flavor, sour at that. Flavor has the same artificial blueberry essence to it with some bland metallic notes. Hints of yeast in the back end - reminds me of a blueberry flavored now-or-later candy. Mouthfeel is on the thin side, slight metallic feel to it. Had better fruit beers.

Its a good beer. Really! But I know this is using extract. which means lame. Is this how the big guys do it! yeah. But minor league. I expect exceptional. Its a good beer. execution makes it minor league.

12oz bottle - pours clear cold with white head. Flavor is blueberry, a little smoky, and somewhat bready. Caillou just said, "Here’s your pot Grandma". taste is sweet and a bit tart. burps. By far my favorite Rivertown brew to date.

Tasted at East Nash Beer Fest. Had a lot of people tell me that I had to try this beer in particular. Don’t know why. The beer did smell delicious. Lush blueberry and fresh malt. However, it tasted bad. Dry crappy malt. Flat flavors. Very bland.

Pours gold in color with white head. 10 blueberries flowed up and down with the intense stream of carbination. Taste is blueberry with a backbone of budweiser. A must get, even if only one.

Bottle from Belmont Party Supply. Pours straw golden with a white head. Blueberry aroma. Light bodied with average carbonation. Typical light lager malt backbone, but countered with a cereal like blueberry flavor. Not overpowering, and not overly sweet. Pretty refreshing and a good beer for what it is.

Bottle purchased at Party Source. Clear gold pour with a medium white head. Aroma of blueberry, malt and lager yeast. Malty flavor with lots of blueberry character before a crisp, noble hop finish.

Pours a clear pale yellow with a very small white head. Aroma of blueberries and light sweet malt. Flavor of blueberries and light pale malt. Not terrible, but not good.

Draft at Holy Grail. Poured clear amber color with blueberries added and an average rocky white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Aroma was moderate blueberry tone. Flavor was moderate blueberry with a good balanced finish of moderate duration. Medium body with pleasing smooth texture and lively carbonation. Average fruit beer.

This beer was formerly brewed by the defunct Oldenburg Brewery at their Holy Grail location near the University of Cincinnati. Now that Holy Grail has different owners and other locations, it is contracted brewed for them by Rivertown. I had it on draft for the first time since Oldenburg’s demise at the Holy Grail location in Delhi Township on January 7, 2012. Medium gold color, small head that slowly depleted with little lacing, lively carbonation, strong blueberry aroma, with real blueberries in the bottom of each glass, just like in the Oldenburg days. The taste is medium to strong tart and bittersweet with strong blueberry notes. There is slight astringency, and the bitterness isn’t very appealing, detracting from the overal experience. Still, better than I remember it from the Oldenburg days.

Sample from bottle at 2011 Cincinnati Beer Fest on Fountain Square. Mild blueberry aroma, medium gold color, good tart taste but very little blueberry flavor. Preeety good for a hot weather refresher.
