Pours gold in color with white head. 10 blueberries flowed up and down with the intense stream of carbination. Taste is blueberry with a backbone of budweiser. A must get, even if only one.

Bottle from Belmont Party Supply. Pours straw golden with a white head. Blueberry aroma. Light bodied with average carbonation. Typical light lager malt backbone, but countered with a cereal like blueberry flavor. Not overpowering, and not overly sweet. Pretty refreshing and a good beer for what it is.

Bottle purchased at Party Source. Clear gold pour with a medium white head. Aroma of blueberry, malt and lager yeast. Malty flavor with lots of blueberry character before a crisp, noble hop finish.

Draft at Holy Grail. Poured clear amber color with blueberries added and an average rocky white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Aroma was moderate blueberry tone. Flavor was moderate blueberry with a good balanced finish of moderate duration. Medium body with pleasing smooth texture and lively carbonation. Average fruit beer.

This beer was formerly brewed by the defunct Oldenburg Brewery at their Holy Grail location near the University of Cincinnati. Now that Holy Grail has different owners and other locations, it is contracted brewed for them by Rivertown. I had it on draft for the first time since Oldenburgís demise at the Holy Grail location in Delhi Township on January 7, 2012. Medium gold color, small head that slowly depleted with little lacing, lively carbonation, strong blueberry aroma, with real blueberries in the bottom of each glass, just like in the Oldenburg days. The taste is medium to strong tart and bittersweet with strong blueberry notes. There is slight astringency, and the bitterness isnít very appealing, detracting from the overal experience. Still, better than I remember it from the Oldenburg days.

Sample from bottle at 2011 Cincinnati Beer Fest on Fountain Square. Mild blueberry aroma, medium gold color, good tart taste but very little blueberry flavor. Preeety good for a hot weather refresher.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a pale, clear yellow color with a big, fizzy white head. Aroma of blueberry cobbler, sugar, and pale malts. Flavor of pale malts, blueberries, minerals, and stale bread. So weird. Light-bodied, with high carbonation and a dry, medicinal mouthfeel. Didnít work for me.

12oz bottle. Clear lighter yellow color, minimal white head. A few spots of lace. Man, this is not good. Being a spring seasonal, I suspect this may be past itís prime. Thereís no date or code anywhere on the bottle, though, so this could be from last year for all I know. Nose-smell is like a cider. The lager is spiked with a medicinally bitter taste, very light sweetness if any. In that offensiveness is a hint of (definitely artificial, no secret there) blueberry. Kind of an acidic texture, but moderate (not overpowering) carbonation. Glad I only have one bottle of this.

Purchased from the Glenway Crossing Remke/Biggs - This is a golden brew with a sweet aroma that is blueberry-esque... itís not a strong fruity odor. Tastewise, itís alright, but Iíve had better.

Found at vintage estate. Was expecting something a little better, perhaps wilder on the yeast side. Decent CO2 but comes across like many fruit beers, dull fruit unsweetened feeling and it seems to be a little higher in alky content, possibly even 6% or so. Medicinal in flavor but not medicinal like a highly hopped IPA. Smell is blueberry or fruit or something with a tart or sour olfactory. Yep, canít say much about this, however, if you are a big fan of not sweet fruit beers, give this a try.
