Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a brandy snifter. Pours a translucent brown with a white head of foam. The aroma has notes of toffee, licorice, and cinnamon. The taste is nutty and sweet with some nice spice notes. Light body with a subtle carbonation. Pretty nice.

3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft sample at Listermann Oktoberfest pours dark drown. Nose earthy malt (but in the background a faint hint of dog poop, like the stuff that’s aged in your shoe for a couple days and you try it out with a stick) Taste sweet malt toffee a little biscuit. If it wasn’t for that wierd aroma, I would have rated it higher.

Surprisingly light. Notes of carmel and ever so slightly sweet with a long mild after finish that stays on your tongue .

As the description mentions, this beer is pretty light. Just a slightly darker version of the pale ale.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
This bottled brew from a restaurant poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated transparent cola brown colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The aroma was of musty sea foam. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of mild hops mild brown malt and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a transparent dark brown with an incredibly thin off-white head. Aroma is grain, roast and a bit of sweetness (brown sugar? caramel?). Flavor is mild and sweet. I thought it was a bit fruity but not many other reviews have mentioned this. Thin-bodies. Mild, sweet, drinkable. Not one to send to friends out west, but for the price, I think this is a decent session ale.

Copper color out of the bottle with a foamy khaki head. Nose of soured grains and brown sugar. Sweet beer with caramel and white sugar, some light toast, sweetened tea and roasted grains. Not very interesting.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small fizzy off-white head that fell to a thin wispy covering. The nose is showing a lot of husky grains with lighter undertones of roast and caramel. The flavor is pretty thin and watery with some slight sweet caramel. Finishes with a bit of roast, but there’s not much going on here. The body is slightly sticky with fizzy carbonation. It just kinda sits there in your mouth and doesn’t excite at all.
