3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Poured a hazy brown color with an average light brown head that was mostly lasting and produced good lacing. Moderate to heavy nutty, yeast and toasted malt aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate nut sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample during the Armageddon tasting at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 12/20/2012. The beer is a dark brownish-red color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast and roasted malt. Light-bodied with flavors of biscuit malt, fruity yeast and a bit of spice. The finish is sweet with a berry and banana aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the brewery. Pours a hazed nut brown color, on the darker side, with a small off-white head that settles into a ring and a small spot of film. Aroma of banana bread, toasted nuts and wheat, and chocolate. Flavor is pretty much the same slate of notes. Light-bodied, with modest carbonation and a smooth, thin mouthfeel. Goes down easy. Good dunkelweizen.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pour out of 12 oz bottle, thanks Amy! Dark brownish black pour with thin tan head, aroma brought notes of slight dark malts, hints of roast, touch of sour fruits, hints of caramel, toffee, touch of spice and earth. Taste is a mix of sweet and sour fruits, touch of caramel, toffee, slight earth, spice, finishing fairly tart, slightly sweet. Ok.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle. Dark but not opaque color. Still a clear dark reddish brown hue to it. Little light tan had. Maybe some weak roast scent in the nose, and then the expected banana aroma. Kind of a tangy sweet aroma. Light body, smooth lighter carbonation. Clean, more dry finish. Lightly spicy tangy aftertaste, with a maybe a hint of roast? Could be the color playing tricks on me. Points for being interesting, but this is not really a hit for me

Draft to pint. Looks solid; a cloudy brown with beige head. Smells malty and yeasty. Tastes like it smells, only better, with a nice Hefe zip. Solid.

12oz bottle pours a opaque deep brown with some creamy, off white head. Nose is drenched in pitted fruit, plum, prune, raisin, dark bread, rum, candy sugar, a little malt vinegar, some dried cherry. Flavor is interesting, bread crust, light smoke, earthy, dirty parsnip, flat cola, a little wheat chaff, some dried cherry, prune. Watery finish.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from b3shine: Aroma is raisins, babyfood, and a bit of barnyard. Cloudy brown, thin tan head. Vegetal and astringent, wood and soot discernible, black currants. Not wonderful.
