Draft: nice solid pale ale. It doesn’t stand out in the crowd, but it’s a very nice drinking beer... Lots of floral, fruity and citrus flavors on top a big malty backbone. Very good stuff.

A solid entry to the gamut of pale ales and IPAs entering the market these days. Pour is a bit coppery with a small but fluffy and enduring head. Transluscence is normal. Nose is typical floral hops with just a hint of the rye hanging in the wings. The spice does show up clearly on the palate with mild bitterness and limited malts making this a hop forward but not overwhelming brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Deep orange amber with thin fast fading white head. Nose is more subtle. Spicy rye, light grapefruit, pine, grass, crackery malts. Flavor is similar. A little on the malty side, but not sweet thankfully. Fairly well balanced. Could use a little more hop flavor for my tastes. I liked this more than I expected. I’d say this a little underrated overall.

Rye malts give this pale ale a good dry finish. I enjoyed it from a can and found it quite pleasing to the taste buds. Aroma is malty and not my face but still very good looking and an enjoyable pale ale in a can. Pack n, pack out.

Rated on 11-22-2011 (Bottle) The appearance is a large foamy fizzy ivory head with a long retention, hazy orange body, fast rising, fizzy carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is malt, light rye and pine hops. The flavor is lightly bitter, caramel malt, pine hops, and has a short semi-dry finish. The mouthfeel is semi-lively and this beer is medium bodied. This beer is not overly hoppy tasting and what hops there are fade rather quickly. This is a so-so APA as it does not have a lot of character and there are better APA’s.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a nice cloudy copper with white head. Aroma is a little citrus and grass hops with some sweet caramel notes. Taste is sweet caramel malt up from with moderate bitter finish. Not an overly bitter pale ale. Herbal and pine flavors on finish. A little thin overall. Average pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Very light sweet caramel malt aroma. Clear deep copper with a moderate off-white head. Light toasty caramel malt, and grassy/herbal hops flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation, lightly astringent.

Received in a trade. Poured into a Prairie tulip glass -- First off I love the bottle art! Very, very, cool stuff there. The aroma is standard for an American Pale, looked nice, the taste, however I was I loved about this beer. I could taste the rye spiciness and a decent helping of bready flavors. Was there a decent amount of Biscuit/Victory malt in the grain bill? The hops complimented the malt flavors and I really thought it balanced well. Reminded me of some of the first Home brews I tried, that were really well done. Would gladly have another.

(tap) clear amber colour with a small off white head; aroma of citrus; balanced flavour with a slight short bitter finish; pleasant mild session ale - far from being a ’hop bomber’ though :-)
