Bottle: nice, smooth, tasty beer. It’s got that great Belgian yeast "kick" but without it being overpowering. A fine, drinkable beer.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. No freshness date.
Pours a hazy dark yellow with a small half finger head. Decent lacing, though.
Aroma of banana and clove along with a slight amount of yeast. Very much like a wit but more subdued. No hop aroma whatsoever.
Clove and banana up front leading to a moderate, somewhat harsh, bitterness. A little bit of bubblegum after but then everything just disappears leaving a chalky mouthfeel and bitterness on the back of the throat. Mouthfeel is extremely watery without the characteristic softness of a wit.
Overall, don’t waste your time with this one. More flavor and body would definitely help.

12oz beer into a leather boot - pours hazy orange with white head and noticeable lacing. Nose is cardboard (like a Helles). Flavor adds wheat and hay. taste is mildly sweet. Once I got a whiff of the beer, I knew I was in trouble. perhaps a bad batch, but how many more can this brewery afford?

Hazy golden with a light head and stripes of lace. Good intentions don’t play out - sour citrus and wheat try to put this on its feet, but can’t balance the odd bitter cloves and spices that define the taste. Not palatable, not recommended.

Bottle purchased at Kroger on Polaris Parkway. Clear gold pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is a bit funky with sweet malt and some citrus. Malty flavor with banana and orange character before a crisp finish.

What I had gotten from this particular beer, was that it tasted of brown sugar, Belgian yeast and food dye. There was possibly some banana and coriander by swallow but I forget. It was too so-so to remember much else.

Bottle. Poured a hazy pale gold with a medium-sized white head. Aroma and flavor were more saison or hefe-like than wit, I thought. Light banana, clove, some citrus, not very spiced. Light palate, quite effervescent. Not bad.

Tasted this during Brew Week in Athens Ohio 2012. Pours a cloudy yellow, almost like lemonade. Hints of citrus, spruce, and spice. Light sweetness and light bitter. Light body with a refreshing zest and clean finish. A descent Belgian that I will look for if I’m ever in Cincy.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2012 20oz imperial pint at the Dilly Deli (met my mother for lunch). Mostly hazy yellow color, nice creamy thin white head. Some bubbles on the side of the glass. Good amount of lace. Nice light fine crisp carbonation, more dry texture, very enjoyable texture. Lemon, belgian yeast, light spices, some banana. A didn’t know what style this was going in, but in my notes I wrote "like a hefe / saison". Sort of a tart, light zesty sweet taste, light spice. Enjoyable. Light and easy to drink, good to enjoy with my burger and fries at the Dilly Deli. Substantially better than Rivertown’s standard wit ale. 7 / 4 / 6 / 4 / 13
Re-rate, 7/13/12: 12oz bottle. Hazy apricot color. Good thin white head. Dry texture, little loose lace. Good aroma, coriander, clove, banana, citrus peel. Zesty sweet taste. Carbonation is a little strong, but has a nice soft texture. Was much smoother on tap, but still worthy of being a regular offering from Rivertown
