3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 alexsdad06 (3040) - Ohio, USA - MAR 2, 2013
12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a small +off hite head. The aroma is lightly toasted caramel malts and mild hops. The flavor has a lightly toasted caramel malt base with some earthy hops. pretty standard for what it is. Worth trying once for the tickers of the world.

Taster at the brewery. I’d say this is a average Oktoberfest. Good flavoring, smooth and easy drinking, but nothing overly exciting either.

Bottle from a sixer purchased at Giant Eagle in New Albany. Clear amber pour with a huge off-white head. Malty and caramelly nose, a bit funky and oxidized. Malt and caramel flavor with a funky and tart finish.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 cheap (3373) - Cheap Lager in Western, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 7, 2011
Twist off cap on a short stubby bottle. Pours like a fest. Smell is a little clean metallic. Quite strong initial alky blast, now I see its 7%. Yes, I’d say an almost impy fest. Malty mixture lacking much fest festiveness. Almost has an old lager feel to it. A little sizzly at time and this saves it. Looks like a fest but its more than a fest. Some medicinal attributes on the finish.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ContemplateBeer (1140) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - NOV 5, 2011
Aroma of bread, light caramel and a moderate dose of resiny hops. Appearance is murky brown with nice, foamy bone head. Flavor matches the nose; a real pleasant balance of malt and hops, slightly nutty as well. Palate is lightly bubbly with a slight alcohol finish. Very good regional Marzen.

12oz bottle with rivertown brewing company and spelled Oktoberfest lager on the label and also says brewed in lockland Ohio, beer itself is a medium Oktoberfest with a thin body much lighter than other beers but taste is spot on for the style

Another gift from my good beer buddy Big D!! A nice, smooth tasting Oktoberfest beer. Full bodied, I was surprised that this was 6.7%abv. Caramel and nutty flavor, a little on the sweet side. Right on style for this type of brew, good CO2 and balance, just enough hop flavor. A pleasant find, thank again D!!
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TheOrange (479) - Kent, Ohio, USA - OCT 15, 2011
This is showing up in all the stores the past couple of weeks here in north eastern ohio.
From a bottle, the pour is nice orange with a smaller whiteish head....
I have to say, this is not a bad octoberfest... But to imagine what it is like start with a samuel adams o-fest. Make a touch more bitter and a bit more of a nutmeg character.
BAM. This is a good beer.

Pours a clear golden body with a thin head. Sweet caramel malt flavor, nuts, biscuits. Heavy carbonation for the style. Sweet, lingering aftertaste.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bluejacket74 (992) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - OCT 6, 2011
12 ounce bottle, $1.59 for a single bottle of this. Served in a mug, the beer pours a hazy orange/amber color with about a half inch off-white head. Pretty much no lacing at all. Aroma is bready and toasted malt, and some herbs. The taste is pretty much the same as the aroma, but with some slight hops noticable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it feels a little bit slick with moderate carbonation. I think it’s an OK brew, but it’s not one of the better Oktoberfest beers I’ve had. I’ll have to try this again when it comes out next year, it’s worth a try.
