3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This beer starts off very well, with a nice looking pour and really nice nose with lots of pumpkin pie spices and a mild bready note that almost make you think it’s pie crust. Sadly, the flavor doesn’t stand up as well as the nose...if it did, this could be a top notch pumpkin brew.

Bottle pour deep amber minimal head. Nose sweet malt, pumpkin, cinnamon. Taste pumpkin pie in a glass. Sugary pumpkin, cinnamon, can almost taste the whip cream too. Mild bitter aftertaste.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Seth. Nose is nutmeg and pumpkin and taste is the same. Very similar to pumpkin pie with a little malt thrown in at the end. Great for the style but not something I'd drink more than one of since its so flavorful.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Appearance- Dark amber with no head.
Aroma- Pumpkin pie= cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and pumpkin.
Taste- Sweet Pumpkin pie.
Palate- Thin, smooth, so sweet I find it cloying.
Overall- Definitely a pumpkin dessert ale but much too sweet for my tastes. Probably good in small doses but 12oz was too much for me. YMMV

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma: Fairly fresh and pleasant pumpkin scent with some cinnamon. Appearance: Dark copper pour with a quickly disappearing head; almost entirely still. Flavor: Mostly pumpkin up front with a bit more cinnamon towards the finish. Palate: Light body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: A perfectly acceptable and imminently drinkable pumpkin beer, but nothing to distinguish it from others in the style.

12oz sampled with a few friends. Pours amber with a small ring of off white lace. Aromas strong of pie spices. Think cinnamon, nutmeg, and caramel. The flavor follows the aromas.... Very spicy overall but finishes somewhat sweet with caramel and a touch of pumpkin flavor. Nice pumpkin beer, but not my thing.

Why do I do this to myself!?! Trying Cincy beers I know will be mediocre. Well it looks nice, but man this thing just falls flat in the flavor department. I’m only detecting a scintilla of what the description promises. It’s just a plan lager with a dash of October. Sorry Rivertown....maybe I’ll pick up one of your revered sours one day.
