12 oz bottle poured into a frosted pint glass. Little aroma and just a lacy head. Complex flavours but basically it made be think of a chocolate malt with a kick.

On tap. Opaque chocolate with a small ring of bubbles. Nose is espresso, chocolate brownie and vanilla. Tastes of quality dark roasted coffee, vanilla, chocolate caramel, dates and a touch of soy sauce. Light-medium body is sweet but well balanced by the roast, and dangerously drinkable with low-medium carbonation.

Poured ok with a good head which died quickly. Over carbonated with slightly burnt, smoked flavor and little depth

Thick milk chocolate foamy head. Surprisingly light and ever so slightly sweet. Mild vanilla on top of palate .

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle shared by nuplastikk...thanks Greg! - Pours murky brown with a thin off-white head. Nose is lightly smoky, a little soured malt, and some popcorn (!). Taste is a little better--not much sourness or roastiness, a bit of cocoa, and some nuttiness. Pretty thin-bodied. Weird beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared by Greg, pours a dark brown with an off white head, the aroma has some vanilla coming through with some sweet malt, the flavor has just a little bit of coffee with some coffee in the finish, was kind of lacking through out the entire beer though, wanted more out of it.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle @ home via trade with Veldrid, I believe. Thanks! Pours a dark brown appearance with a foamy, dark brown head. A touch fruity, very roasty, a bit nutty, mild coffee, vanilla aroma. A bit tart, somewhat acidic, a bit fruity, fairly thin bodied. Some coffee and vanilla but overall all that great.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On draft from fox & hound in Ohio.
A black porter with a small creamy "coke" colored head with minimal lacing.
A deep chocolate and coffee aroma with a hint of vanilla.
Taste was similar to aroma - chocolate up front with a long lasting slightly bitter coffee finish with mild vanilla undertones.
Mouth feel was nice, smooth & lightly creamy. Very little alcohol taste or burn for a 7.6%ABV.
I very good chocolate vanilla porter that I hope to drink again

This is the best beer on tap that I have ever had. I am looking for it in Nashville. They serve it at The Pharmacy and showcased at the East Nashville Beer Craft Beer Fest. If anyone has found it, would love to know where!

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Had this on tap at the East Nashville Beer Festival. Pours a reddish brown with a strong aroma of chocolate and vanilla that is very enticing. Mild roasty character and incredibly easy to drink. I was impressed with my first beer from Rivertown.
