Bottle at Land O Lakes WOB. Pours a very dark brown with a touch of red along the edges. Virtually zero head to speak of with the exception of a tiny island in the middle. Aroma has a good bit of vanilla and roasted malt with a hint of funkiness similar to a mild sour. Flavor is quite nice with the roasted notes really coming through in the finish. The higher alcohol is well hidden.

Interesting aroma - complex but a little muted. Roast, dark cocoa, toasted soy, lightly sweet. Squat 12 oz bottle, functional label. Very dark beer with a short-duration tan head. Generally smooth, a mild acidic kick. Vanilla is well-played and not cloying. Roasty, nice cocoa, a little tangy. Medium body, candied chocolate (Sixlets) finish. A nice sippin’ beer on a brisk night. ABC Liquors, Betton.

hands down one of the best porters ive had. a little smoky, some leather or bourbon even though not aged as such, lots of dark grain notes. very nicely done.

Pours a black brown with very little head. Smell is roast malts, chocolate, and coffee grounds. Taste very old coffee, bakers cocoa, and slight bitter hops. A bit thin, decent carbonation.

Almost black colored pour. Small off-white head. Not much lacing. Bit of a coffee aroma. Taste is malty, vanilla, chocolate - very good. Sweet finish. Pretty good beer.

Sampled at esbls. From Charlie. Dark brown with red. This is chocolate and daek fruit with earth. The chocolate is syrupy.

Pours like every other porter. Roasted malt, smoke, coffee, and chocolate in the aroma. Carbonation gives a bit of bite, Flavor isn’t quite as big as the aroma sets up, but it’s well balanced and has a wonderful finish. Charred oak lasts forever. Nice, but not amazing

Vanilla bean aroma, very sweet and robust roasted flavor and aroma. Sweet and full bodied. A nice dessert beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
