Bottle: pours a beautiful hazy orange color with a white head. It’s got aromas of sweet wheat with a hint of floral hops. It tastes awesome. It’s got all the refreshing qualities of wheat beer, with a little more complexity that was a pleasant surprise. Great, great beer.

Drjohnrock (288) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 19, 2013
Poured from 12 ounce bottle from pick-your-own-six-pack at Finneytown Kroger. Cloudy gold/amber hue, small slightly off white head that slowly dissipated with little lacing, moderate sweet/spicy nose, nice bittersweeet flavor with spice and wheat, little banana and no clove. Not your typical hefeweizen--the wheat ale designation is probably more accurate--but quite nice.

Bottle and served in my Ayinger glass: Hazy light golden hue with a fizzy top and very nice lace. The aroma has notes of banana, clove, wheat husk, biscuit, light citric and herbal hops, and a touch of bubblegum. The taste starts a tad fruity and is a bit more bitter than I expected not that is such a bad thing. Nice background of pils and wheat with a slight spicy finish. The mouth feel is lively and sprite but could be a tad cleaner. Overall a drinkable Weizen and happy to say a far better experience than the last bottle of Rivertown I had.

Bottle. Strong wheat malt aroma with hints of apple, banana, and clove. Cloudy pale yellow color with moderate head. Sweet-tart lemon and wheat malt flavor with light herbal hops finish. Nice wheat ale - but minimal Hefeweizen characteristics.

Aroma and flavor is a mix of fruit/lemons and nutty malts. Interesting for a wheat ale.

Purchased from Remke/Biggs in Cincinnati, Ohio - Alright, this one is not really a hefe, just a wheat beer in my opinion! No banana/clove scent, but still tasty.

12 ounce bottle from Belmont Party Supply. Pours a hazy pale orange color with a thin frothy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of wheat, citrus, banana, faint spice. The taste is wheat, citrus, a crackery note. Thin-medium bodied. Decent.

phaleslu (4431) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 16, 2011
12 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Pours a clear golden color with an inch-thick fizzy white head that settles into a small film and leaves some lace. Aroma of lemon citrus, grassy hops, sweet malts, and only as it opens do I get some wheat. Flavor of pale malts, crackers, lemon, grass, and straw. Falls off as it warms, but the aroma opens up. Hard to rate for that reason. No banana-clove kind of character I could pick up. Also had a pils-like mouthfeel, with a light body and high, crisp carbonation. Odd take on a hefeweizen.

Bottle purchased at Party Source. Clear yellow/gold pour with a medium white head. Malty nose with fruity esters and a mild tart note. Malty flavor with berry and banana accents before a grassy hop finish.

Aroma of citrus, banana, light gum and sharp wheat. Appearance is tinted copper with scant white head. Flavor matches the nose; the use of American hops adds an astringent character to the finish. Palate is very bubbly and soft. Not as bad as some say, but not a standout, either.
