3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle - pours clear amber with thin tan head and thin lacing. Nose is cinnamon. Flavor adds caramel and more spiciness. Sweet. Big mouth feel. Not what I’m looking for in a winter warmer. Unidirectional.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a somewhat hazed reddish amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of very sweet malts, dry bread, and mild spice. Flavor of ginger, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, dry grainy malts, and a vegetal note. Light-bodied, with a spicy mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Some promise but sloppy.

3.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light for an ale, lots of spice, particularly cinnamon. Great aroma if you like a spiced ale.
My wife's favorite ale, probably the only ale she likes.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft to taster at Rivertown. Looks good; a hazy orangish-brown with off-white lacing. Smells and tastes solid; cinnamon and related spices with a semi-sweet backbone. Average on the palate. A pleasant version of the style.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This ale poured a cloudy deep amber colour with a quickly disipating, light tan coloured head. To the nose there are scents of ripe fruit, cider, apple pie, plastic and brown sugar. Quite complex bouquet. First sip was very carbonated with flavours of apple pie with cinnamon. This beer is literally apple pie in beer form. Medium bitter finish with cinnamon lingering on the pallet.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Muddy red color. No head. Musty spicy aroma with sweet malt taste. I want something with a little more pizzaz to it.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear, amber color with a thin white head. No distinct aroma but a get a slight hint of malts and spice. It has an interesting sweet taste that is almost like drinking tea. The palate is not as advertised. It is not bold, thick-bodied, but it is light to medium in body and somewhat creamy at best. It is not as advertised, but it is a yummy beer and I would probably be willing to pay bar price for one.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Cinnamon/pepper and malt aroma. Amber color with small head. Sweet light brown sugar, cinnamon and malt flavor. Balance is off. Too much spice and not enough malt.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A muddy ruby color, no head with some lacing and a few bubbles. Alcohol and cloves are the main aroma with some cinnamon and mild sweet malts. No alcohol in taste, not to sweet for a winter beer. Body is thin and the lack of any head is disappointing. Not a bad effort.
