2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Poured hazy golden color with a huge frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeasty sweet citrus aroma. Light to medium body with a dry smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet dry finish of moderate duration. My expectations where not met.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle @ home, courtesy of some generous trader. Pours a cloudy, dark yellow orange appearance with a fluffy, off-white head. Bready, herbal spicy, dull orange peel, a touch zesty nose. A bit dull, wheat malty, slightly chewy, somewhat spicy/zesty, mild coriander flavor. Alright but nothing special.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 ounce bottle from a sampler from Belmont Party Supply. Pours a murky orange color with a thin fizzy white head that fades quickly. Aroma of citrus, floral notes, nutty notes and a spicy finish. The taste is VERY tart citrus, some apples. Overly tart. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Wasn’t expecting that.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sample at the 1st annual Columbus Beerfest on 05/28/10: Pours a cloudy yellow color with a thin and wispy white head that disappears fairly quickly. Light spiced aroma with notes of citrus and a touch of skunk. Light body with flavors of sweet spice, yeast and slightly sour fruit. The finish is fruity with a short spiced aftertaste. Overall this one didn’t do much for me.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Sour lemon/orange and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy amber color with nice big head. Sweet-tart lemon and light wheat malt flavor. Very light body. Okay but not much to it.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle from The Party Source. I’ve seen some six packs around Cincy lately, but this wasn’t one of them so I had to pick up a single and try it for myself. Pours a cloudy orange-gold with an out of control eggshell white head that is like a volcano out of the glass. It finally settles into a film on the beer without any lacing. Aroma of orange peel, coriander, wheat, orange and lemon citrus, spices, hops, pepper, and yeast. Flavor of orange citrus, wheat, yeast, pepper and other warming spices, bready malts, coriander, and tart apple. Medium-bodied, with active carbonation and a crisp, juicy mouthfeel. This is an excellent witbier.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle and served in my Hoegaarden shaker: Very cloudy near amber hue (a tad dark for the genre IMO) with a small fizzy head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of orange and lemon zest, coriander, flowery and doughy malts, wheat husks, light pepper and even some white wine. Very acidic on the nose and follows through to the palate. This is one twangy fruity and acidic brew. Perhaps too much for the wheat and pale malts sort of get pushed to the side and even the spices are a bit hard to find. The mouth feel is refreshing and sprite and a mouth watering texture. Overall it is not bad but seems to have just a bit too much influence from the orange and lemon additions.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: NOV 24, 2011 12oz bottle. Hazy yellow orange appearance, medium white head. Nice, citrusy spicy taste, crisp texture but perhaps a bit too carbonated. Very nice aroma, but mild in strength. Very refreshing overall, a great summer beer. Satisfying, indeed.
Rerate 11/24/11: kind of a weird sour taste.. Taste score moved from 7 to 5. Maybe this belgian wit is past it’s prime.. Or just better in the summer with an orange, I don’t know. Overall moved from 14 to 12. Still a decent zesty taste, I guess

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from a sixer purchased at Earth Fare Polaris. Hazy and chunky orange in color with a medium white head. Aroma of sweet malt, coriander, orange, banana and creamy wheat. Banana and creamy wheat flavor with some herbs and citrus, but not enough for my liking. I like the orange and coriander to drown out a lot of the banana, but this one is definitely banana forward.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99. Thanks Tom!. Pours a hazy golden color with a large pillowy white head. The aroma is toasted wheat, slightly doughy, with mildly sour citrus notes that favor lemon. The flavor is similar with toasted wheat and mild lemon citrus, This is rather dry and lacks that zest of other wit beers out there. This is a new brewery in our area and I am happy to see this, but this one just doesn’t work for me.
rating #2 for this beer.
