Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was malty and bready with notes of clove and banana. The flavor was tart, citric, malty, faintly bready and nutty with a bit of clove and presented as somewhat stale. Medium length finish of citrus, bread and clove. Medium body. Meh.

Mild weizen aroma and bouquet. Brown hazy appearance. First comes on slightly bitter then that morphs into a very pleasant and friendly companion. Enjoyable and easy going. IMHO a reall good beer. Just enough carbonation to hold your attention. Well mannered and delicious. Enjoyability improves during the session. Overall a just plain old good example of what beer should be as far as dunkleweizen goes.
