2.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Sample at Brewpub. no head. Light brown with red hues. Sugar and candy nose, much like a Werther’s original. Super, super sweet, notes of caramel, toffee, brown sugar with no discernible hop flavor. No carb and a thin, watery mouthfeel. Good idea, not so good result.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark nut brown color with red-orange highlights and a small soapy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was sweet malts and sour caramel. The flavor was sweet, malty and a bit sour with a very strong and distinct caramel presence and notes of honey and faint vague fruits. Long malty finish of caramel and honey. Moderately full bodied. Very interesting.
