They are calling it Crantastic now, but the beer deScription is essentially the same. Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a yellowish pink color with a large soapy white head. The aroma was light tangy and tart cranberry. The flavor was tart and tangy with a light cranberry presence and a bit of table sugar. The finish was long, tart and tangy cranberry. Light to medium body. The cranberry is noticeable but not overwhelming. Quite refreshing.

Smell’s good, like freshly pressed cranberry juice. No head, looks like raspberry ginger ale. Very nice first taste with lo or no bitterness. Cranberry comes thru like gangbusters, much better than their cranberry catch. The brewer said the difference is in the fact that the beer is aged on the cranberries after the brewing, no just brewed with them. Really great overall fruit beer experience, heads and shoulders above the average fruit beer. Great stuff, very happy to have this on tap at the monroeville location. One of the better rivertowne beers I’ve ever tasted.
