A beer so enticing you may think itís nectar from the gods. The name "Hala Kahiki" (Hah-lah-kah-hee-kee), originates from the Hawaiian words for pineapple. Feel the way it rolls off your tongue? Our sweet and refreshing beer will take you away...have a sip...grab a lei!

This tastes like you took a blond ale and dumped some fresh pineapple juice in it, which is much better than I expected this beer to taste. You get a lot of things and it just tastes like a Jolly Rancher. Itís cloudy and yellow w/ a short lived head of fine bubbles. It has a Capín Crunch malt character in the nose and a bit of pineapple. The pineapple comes out much more once you taste it and itís got a pretty nice, juicy quality to it. I gotta say I wasnít expecting to like this at all but itís actually pretty good.

Clear golden with foamy Lacy white head with streams of bubbles rising through the glass; aroma is rich sweet fruit pineapple reminiscent of Southern Comfort; flava is tangy sweet and tart pineapple with slight hints of grainy wheatiness; feels light with nice fizzy liveliness; finishes sweet tangy pineappley

Can. Pours a clear pale gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a sweet pineapple note with an earthy grain backbone. Flavor is mainly sweet pineapple with a bit of sweet grain backing.

12 ounce can thanks to Chris. Golden yellow color. Nose is a bit of pineapple, but body is big pineapple juice. Lots of juice. Too much pineapple juice! Hard to finish the can.

Canned. Pours hazy yellow color, white head. Aroma is pure pineapple and some bready malt. Flavor is pineapple soda. They say thereís alcohol here but I just taste pineapple soda. Kinda cool. A bit gimmicky but cool.

An interesting drinking experience. Strong pineapple juice aroma. Pineapple is present in the finish without being overly sweet. Overall not very beer like though. Flat, light body, not as crisp as i expected, slightly oily feel. Left me feeling refreshed but unsatisfied and still wanting a real beer. A very drinkable and confusingly interesting beverage.

Draft at Jungle Jims. Pours a slightly hazy yellow golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have pretty much sweet pineapple juice and not much else. Not my thing.

Bigtime aroma and flavor of pineapple. Is it obnoxious? is it chintzy? Is it cheap? Probably. But I like it. Minor acidic accompaniment. Very slight bitter feel.

on tap @ Vino Bellissimo / Lima OH --- Hazy grapefruit amber color, white head cover, strings of lace. Taste opens like a sour ale that forgets to turn sour. It begins with light slightly sour malt, then adds semi-sweet fruit (mostly pineapple) on the swallow, and never gives up the fruit as it moves through an uneventful finish. Ir reminds me of the juice that pineapple in cans is packed with. Okay, but not a beer.
