Aurelius (2549), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jun 30, 2008 Medium gold, clear. Big creamy head. Faint cereal aroma. Good mouthfeel, but vacant. Very bland. Naka (496), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 22, 2008 Sampled at the Pour House. Pours a clear golden with a bith of a foamy white head. Nose is pretty much all a grassy grain character. A little grapey fruit flavor with a very crisp finish. A nice spicy hop presence with a decent body. The carbonation in this seems a little light according to the style description, but this is really my first kolsch I’ve rated, so I’m not really sure. A very refreshing beer that is pretty sessionable. zebracakes (1051), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 7, 2007 On tap at the Pour House. Clear yellow, off white head, Aroma is malt, grass. Flavor is vanilla, malt, grass. cheapdark (1686), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 3, 2007 Clean aroma and ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color. Barely any carbonation on the palate. Has a pilsner bite to it it is well controlled. Finish leaves that lingering pilsner bite building on the back of the palate.
