3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a very dark brown color with a small khaki head. The aroma was tangy, malty and had a touch of roastiness and chocolate. The flavor was sweetish and very malty with light notes of chocolate and caramel. The beer turned drier towards the middle and had a long malty finish. The body was nicely thick.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught sample as Slam Dunkel at the Pour House. I can’t tell if this was supposed to be a dunkler Bock or an attempt at a Schwarzbier. Very little nose with mild malt character and some brown sugar. Light dusty grain and a bit of hop bitterness. Dark, dark brown clear with no head. Watery with medium carbonation. Starts a little sweet. Bit nutty with some bitter quality. Decent but nothing remarkable.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Slightly hazy darker colored beer. just a generally good smelling beer. Barely any carbonation visible or on the tongue. Very little if any hop bitterness. Easy to drink and enjoyable to an extent. No bitter finish and overall well mannered.
