2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
A bit too subdued in character for my preference +++ Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark orange-caramel color with a trace orange-white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was tangy with faint vague fruit and caramel. The flavor was tangy and a touch nutty with faint vague fruits and touches of caramel and cardboard. Short tangy fruity finish. medium body but noticeably smooth. Disappointing.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at the rivertowne monroville. Looks like pale lager with a tad of brown in there. I think I smell hints of mint in there but not sure. First taste is mildy bitter but then the bite increases. Seems to be higher in alky but is not ill mannered. Medium to mild linger but easy to take for an octoberfest. One of the more mild tastwise that I have had.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A- Body is a very rich, transparent chestnut brown color that pours with a nice 2 finger+ creamy slightly tan head. Head subsides to 1/2 finger and retains well from there. Traces of lacing are left all the way down the glass.
S- Smell is much richer in caramel malt than most O-fests. Actually it’s all I can pick up.
T- Initial flavor is loaded with caramel malt and just a touch of floral hoppiness comes through for the finish. Lots of caramel malt and slightly nutty flavors linger.
P- Low to medium carbonation and a nice light drinkable lager body.
O- I really like the caramel malt in this one but it might be a shade overdone. Still a very good O-fest though.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught sample at the Pour House. Nice malty and hoppy aroma, good bit of sweetness though overall not a strong nose. Clear copper-red body with light lacing head. Medium bodied with light-medium carbonation. Starts with a great malty hit and a strong presence of fresh apples. Good nutty bitterness with no nonsense hops, leaving you with a sweet finish and chalky palate. Oddly enough, the strong presence of apples or apple skins remain in the after - very estery. Nice beer, but just a bit sweeter than others. Good dry finish and even a bit of chocolate.
