hazy amber, fine beige head, streaks of drippy lace,
sweet citrus aroma,
lots of citrus hop flavor, crystal malt adds some balance with a touch of sweetness, big bitterness starts mid way through and lasts to a long bitter finish,
nice bitterness but a bit too much for me

cheapdark (1597), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 12, 2007 Updated: Jan 1, 2008Perfumy aroma, very attractive to the olfactory. Orange brown in color with no head. Darker than most APA. Perfumy aroma caries over into the flavors. Medium hop flavors, but not like an IPA. Easier to appreciate and less offensive than many pale ales. Tho not the impact of an IPA the hop bitterness is ever present. Bitter grapefruit rind finsih that hangs for a while. Not quite as good or enjoyable as Acme California Pale Ale or Stoudts American Pale Ale. Better than Tröegs Pale Ale. The aroma of this is better than most APA.
FROTHINGSLOSH (1509), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 2, 2007 Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured an orange-bronze color with a small tan head. The aroma was fairly strong grapefruity and piney hops. The flavor was crisp floral and fruity hops. Grapefruity hops linger on the palate. The body was was moderately thick and rather nice.
