dpjuart (555), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 14, 2008 Draft Sample at Pub. Pours a murky amber. Nice malty flavor that is immediately taken over by a bitter, tannic wood quality, not abbrasive, but mildy astingent. Tastes like the stem of a dandelion. Mild bitter at the end. This is an interesting beer that’s aged on wormwood, giving it a very odd flavor, not necessarily unpleasant, but very odd. Gotta give the guys props for trying it, but not really my cup of tea. I could handle a pint every now and then, though.
Linus_Stick (1521), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 9, 2008 Pour was a medium amber with no bubles and no head. Flat and stagnant. Aroma was difficult to pick up. Could faintly pick up caramel malt and dishrags. Taste was all carbonation and no flavor. Almost like seltzer water that had a caramel candy dissolving in it for a few days. No aftertaste. Terrible.
