A new Rivertowne standard, this American Amber Lager was designed to have the perfect balance between 9 different varieties of malt! With a Cascade aroma and hop bit balancing this act we are proud to add this to our taps!

I'm a lot of grainy husks from the beer, pour decent with a fading head. First sip is all grains then the astrigent husks. Something is off putting, still drinkable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma is balanced malt and hope. The appearance is amber with a medium head. The taste is malty and grainy but good. The palate is average. Overall a winner.

Can from Whole Foods Plymouth. Pours hazy copper with 1-finger off-white head and fizzy body. Resiny hops and tropical fruity citrus in the nose. Tastes hoppy, crisp, with fruity, caramelly, and piney notes. This one is very good.

Can. Pours a clear copper body under a one finger frothy white head that left a little sticky lace. The nose is malty and sweet with some nice Munich malt notes. Not much in the way of hops here, but I’m ok with that. The flavor is a bit husky though, but it’s still fairly decent and clean. Some nice light sweetness on the back end along with just a minimal hint of hops. Medium bodied and just a bit clingy with soft fizzy carbonation. Not the best Vienna, but it’s above average for most craft efforts.

Smells and tastes of soap. OVerly sweet at front of taste with thick syrupy, mouthfeel. Somewhat interesting hint of black tea. Doesn’t hit the mark for me.

Can. Nose is sweet and lightly corny, medium/amber roast with something mildly stale or semi-skunked. Pale orange, faintly hazy with slow and minimal carbonation, a sudsy beige head. Taste lightly sweet but accumulating, very toasted with touches of acrid acidity, bitterness minimal, hops grassy and only lightly citric, malt dominates. Crisp and stings the tongue, full (too-full!) body, and the whole thing feels forced and excessive.

12oz can from Kroger. Copper orange pour. Aroma of doughy, cereal, caramel. Tastes are the same - maybe more bready than cereal. Yeah, not horrible, not good.

Transfer from BA review on 8-28-13- Poured from can into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a deep amber, almost copper, color with a foamy one finger just off white head. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time to leave a very little lace on the sides of the glass and a bit of a foamy film atop the brew. Smell – The aroma is very light overall but has notes of a caramel sweetness as well a bit of an apple and other light fruits. Taste – The taste starts with a bready and caramel sweetness mixed with some flavors of apple and notes of roasted malt. The roasted malt and apple grow a bit stronger while the caramel fades ever so slightly overall crisping up the brew. Toward the end some lighter hop flavors of a citrus nature comes to the tongue leaving a very lightly hopped, bready and slightly sweet flavor on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. Both create a very easy drinking brew. Overall – A rather tasty and easy drinking brew that doesn’t take a lot of concentration. A nice brew for just sitting and sipping with friends in conversation.
